Just sitting (68)
|No picturesque church, no magnificent mountain, but this is nevertheless from Georgia. |
I hesitated long before I decided to upload this photo, showing nothing but a few persons waiting for a bus. But I thought these two middle-aged gentlemen wearing blue shirts brightened the view of the mainly grey and brown street. I also liked the bench they are sitting on, built around a big tree. But I fully agree, it's really nothing special, just a glimpse of daily life.
This is from the main street of Tbilisi, Rustaveli Avenue, or Rustavelis Gamziri, or more properly spelled რუსთაველის გამზირი.
Here is a larger version.
For the sake of gender equality I will post a workshop of three women.

|I think this is from the same street. I can't understand why they didn't look happier but they probably didn't understand my attempts to explain they would be on TrekEarth.|
They are probably selling products from their own gardens or kitchen. I am not sure what the white things in the blue bag are, but I would guess they are homemade cheeses wrapped in cotton. Cheese is a common ingredient in Georgian cooking, along with walnuts and pomegranates, everything generously sprinkled with fresh coriander.
