Here are some other versions of the Plougastel costumes.
The colourful ones worn by the lady in front and by the men date back to the 19th century.
The black ones to the right were ceremonial costumes around the 1st World War, when every family were mourning someone killed at war.

Hi Marie Louise. This type of picture is difficult to take, but yu have captured the action well. It is good that you moved up to the stage and got the full length of the costumes. I hope you took many shots of this event, maybe some close-ups of the dancers' faces, maybe some blurred shots of dancing feet. There are many opportunities for interesting photos in such a situation. You say in your introduction that you are fairly new to photography. Try to explore many ways of shooting the same thing.
