[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
January 2006 was the warmest month of January ever in the history of New York. It looked like Spring was comming early, then suddenly a huge snow storm arrived on this day February 12.

I was downtown taking photographs of a model in the morning. Before heading home I just had to walk across the Brooklyn Brige. It was snowing hard and very windy but It was so wondeful because nobody was out on the bridge. I always wanted to have this bridge all to myself.

The Brooklyn Bridge is one of the most photographed bridges in the world. There is something romantic, mystical and historical about this beautiful bridge. You can feel the history, the power, the pride, the loneliness and greatness of New York City when walking across it.

There are over 20 big bridges in New York City but the Brooklyn Bridge is the most famous and most special. More people have committed suicide on this bride over such things as money and lost love. Many couples have walked over it on a first date. This Bridge has been a place of many great protest marches in the history in New York because it leads right to the front door of the Mayors office "City Hall"

Black and White film was the only way to go on this day.

The excellent shot speaks for itself. The misty air adds an errie feel to the shot.

nice b/w, symmetrical shot here. i like the comp very much.

THis is very nice B/w shot..
Very impressive shot

Narrow , tall view...

Hey Marvin,

I'm at work, so I was just skimming thru pics on the site (can't resist!) and came across this one. I love black and white, so this picture caught my attention, especially because it's so symmetrical. I like how there's a little bit of noise/distortion (probably the fog!), as it gives the picture what you're talking about in your note: "..history, the power, the pride..."

Great work! Thanks for sharing.

Jas

PS-I'm moving to Manhattan in August, and I cannot wait for the photo opportunities in New York!! Cheers!

Great perspective on this one. Great atmosphere. Nice symmetrical composition and the black and white works well for the overall "mood" of the photo.

Beautiful work.
