Rådhuspladsen Reflections

From time to time I like to upload Reflections-pictures, in which I show a building reflected in a glass facade.
Today another one in this series, that shows you Rådhuspladsen (City Hall Square) in Copenhagen, reflected in the building of the Greater Copenhagen Traffic Company (Hovedstadsområdes Trafikselskab, HT).
Actually it isn't the first time I show Københavns Rådhus (Copenhagen City Hall) through a reflection. The first photo can be seen here: Century Reflections.

Københavns Rådhus was designed by Martin Nyrop and built from 1892 to 1905. On 12 September 1905 the city hall was put into use officially. The tower of the city hall is one of the tallest buildings in Copenhagen: 105m and the architect got inspiration for the tower from the city hall of Siena, Italy.
The City Hall is the building, and tower on the left of the photo.
The other tower is part of the Palace Hotel.

Rådhuspladsen itself is located in the centre of the city, close to Tivoli and Hovedbanegården (Central Station) and in between H.C. Andersenboulevard and Vester Voldgade. Rådhuspladsen is connected with another big square, Kongens Nytorv, by the shopping street Strøget.

The building (just called HT-bygningen, HT-building) that I used for this reflection was completed in 1996 and is placed in the middle of the square. The building is quite disputed because of its architecture and location. But actually I like it, and not only because of this reflection.

Another view over the a square from a webcam can be found at the website of the Danish newspaper Politiken, that has its head office at the square.
Take a look for it here: Politikens Webcam.

I hope you like this picture!

inteesting composition with this reflection and nice colors.
Well done
Bertrand

Hallo Lars,
Het lijkt er zo langzamerhand op dat je mij van de reflectietroon wil afstoten. Maar in elk geval heb ik dan een waardige opvolger en het blijft in de familie.
Groet Rob

Hi,
It is a very nice picture with reflections. I was in Copenhague last year and this picture remembers me a lot of memories.
Thank you
Véro

Hey Lars. You couldn't have asked for a more accommodating reflection. It's the clarity and how huge the reflection is giving us an unparalleled view. Super shot Lars!

Hej Lars,
Nice perspective on this one showing a different shot of the square. I like the distorted reflections of some of the buildings around the square. Well done!

Regards

Hello Lars,

It's a beautiful reflection, I like the scene and the colors, the bikes in the first plan and the melting pot between the reflections and the rest !

Regards,
Stéphanie.

A clever idea Lars. The colours are lovely and the quality of the image is spot on! Well done.
Best wishes
Mark

Bonjour mon ami Lars,
J'aime beaucoup ce genre de photographie, car l'on ne sait plus ce qui est reflet ou de ce qui est à l'intérieur, le regard s'y perd. Heureux mélange avec un joli jeu de couleurs.
Amitiés.
Philippe

Hello Lars
What a beautiful picture. Amazing colours. The composition with the reflections is amazing. The doubled buildings look like they started to move...
Best regards

Hi Lars,
A good urban shot in superb colors. The reflection adds another dimension to it,-well seen and captured!
Greetings,
Hermann

Hi Lars,
Very interesting experiment. You get the feeling of picture within a picture.Nice and sharp with attractive colours and you handled well the difficult light on the bikes.Shame the clock tower is cut otherwise perfect.
Regards, David

Hi Lars
great reflect pic, great pov and nice colors
best regards

Hej Lars,
Another good work for your series of reflections. It's very nice to see the mix of images and try to understand, which one belongs to. I specially like the person in the buiding choosing something from the cilindric expositor and the way the beautiful blue colour of the sky enhances the image of the buildings reflected. Very well done!
Hilsner,
Ricardo

very good image showing the reflections. Blue sky always shows up better than reality in reflections. I like the distorted reflections of the buildings almost with a shadow effect round them. Well composed on a diagonal and to include the bikes outside.
Kath

Smart idea and fine result. Interesting photo. Regards.

Hi Lars - brilliant idea, the reflections are a bit blurred and dizzying, but perhaps that is what makes it interesting.

Goed werk!
Goede week toegewenst,
Bert

Hi Lars, An impressive shot of the reflections and the seeing through in this colorful shot. Interesting double visions, I guess those were caused by double layer windows. A fun shot. Thanks for sharing.

Hej Lars

Rart at se denne udskældte bygning brugt som reflektion af livet på rådhuspladsen.
Tak for din altid meget omfattende og præsise note af omgivelserne.

Med venlig hilsen
Jeppe

Hi Lars,
Well composed with superb reflections. I especially like the presence of the greenery on the left, which adds warmth to the scene. The row of bicycles is also enhancing. Very fine special effects in the photo. A well framed and executed capture, Lars.
John

It was a good idea to have the bycicles, to create some originality. The reflection works very well because it creates a lot of colors and light.
Good compo.

Hi Lars,
Firstly I find the array of colours very pleasing and interesting. There is also this impression and illusion that the man looking at the displayed items was on the street. It is an exciting way of looking at a place and I like the idea. Splendid shot!! Best regards.

great reflections here, I like the way you took this one, very good angle and also the focus is good too in the foreground

Hej Lars,

I like very much the composition and the reflections. The lines on the glass and the bikes make it for a nice graphical impression.

Colors and exposure are very good too.

Hilsner, saludos,
Carlos

Hi Lars, part reflections, part really inside - and they blend together nicely in your shot. Very nice colors too. Congratulations, Daniel

Hello Lars, I like the way the strong reflections fight for attention along with the actula subject. It's a picture that demands the viewer looks carefully to really see what is there. I also like the bold colours.

Inside, ouside..., these reflections are very nice indeed, Lars; I like them a lot, because I think they have a very good graphical effect, something nice to look at! Good work...

Hello Lars,
An abundance of elements in multi-colors shown on this beautiful photo.
A scene that was well premeditated.
The lady who was choosing a gift did not see you... but played a role on the scene. I like and always looking for such reflections.
Have a nice weekend,
Ike
