I took this photo when my wife and I was strolling with our dear friends in Marseilles, and photographers as well, Véro, Gigi et Edith, in the front of the spectacular building of the MuCEM. I take profit of its glass-front, in order to catch the reflections of the “La Major” Cathedral, trying to reach a good visual mirror effect, and its double image.

Information: http://es.france.fr/es/descubre/mucem-museo-las-civilizaciones-europa-y-del-mediterraneo-marsella:

Marseilles receives a museum attached to the north margin of Mediterranean, opened at the winds of the ideas, mobilizing the artistic expressions of both margins of the Mediterranean.
Between the sky and the water, at the entry of the Old-Port of Marseilles, the MuCEM Museo of the Civilizations of Europa and of the Mediterranean, of the architect Rudy Ricciotti, is by its situation itself, the great project for the Mediterranean, which landscape offers us now a new image and turns into a meeting-point between both shores.

Never before was dedicated a museum to the cultures of the Mediterranean, even being so prolific from the point of view of the History and the Civilizations.
Inaugurated in 2013, year that Marseilles was The European Capital of the Culture.
It represents the first and authentic moving of a national museum to a great regional capital. The collections, formed by near a million works, objects and documents, have moved entirely into Marseilles.

Hello Josep,
What an amazing photo, I really love this very clear and bright reflection in the large glass façade. The cathedral itself is also very sharp and stands out wonderfully from the pale blue sky. Great photo.
Lars

Hi Josep
easy to see why you'd want to capture this view with the side reflection. reminds me of the photos we'd see from Juan JFS. its a great visual, captures our immediate attention on the gallery page. well spotted, I should try this too. make me feel inspired as a photographer. cheers
Craig

Ha! Ha! Josep, it's almost as if our eyes are working independently!
It is a wonderful reflection of an already interesting scene, complete with cathedral and a whole host of interesting figures to observe.
You were observant and made a fine, artistic record of the scene.

My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Ciao Josep!

Complimenti
Carlo

Hi Josep
Nice ideas! this glassy almost perfect reflections works really well competing for attention. There is a lot in the image to look at; people, landscape and architecture at the same time making the most of the blue colour. Lovely disciplined straight lines accentuating the sense of tremendous depth and full marks for exposure and contrast. Delightful
Congrats.
Best regards

Hola Josep,
Wonderful opportunity for a reflection picture, halved perfectly the image and the mirror view is matching the quality of the real view.
Bon dia,
Ike

Bonjour, cher ami Josep,
Philippe

Hello,
Good idea for this capture. The reflections are perfect and are creating a spectacular artistic result. Well done.

Daniel

Salut Josep,

hello Josep,

Attractive reflections in the glass of MUCEM. I also have such a picture. Excellent symmetry. Strange that the towers of the La Major Cathedral are here with scaffolding. I was more lucky, the renovation was ready. Well seen, excellent presentation.

Kind regrad s Malgo

Wow, this perspective is really something.
At first I couldn't really wrap my head around what it was that you had photographed, but with the full size open it becomes apparent.

Good choice of slightly faded colors for this photo and nice sharp details.
Excellent choice to let the drain on the ground grab the attention and leading it towards the perfect reflection of the cathedral.
Thanks for sharing.

OJJ

Oi, Josep!

Hola Josep,
I am not sure what should I be more jealous about: pleasure of a TrekEarth meeting or capturing this wonderful picture!
Fantastic smooth surface which made the reflection perfect. It really looks like an extension of the reality. The exposition is so well balanced!
I like also having inscriptions in Greek alphabet which confuse the viewer regarding the location.
Great work!!
M

Hola amigo Josep.
Bien visto y realizado. Me gusta y me trae grandes recuerdos.
Que tengais un feliz fin de semana.
Un fuerte abrazo para ti y Pili.
Luis.

Hola Josep,

Belo trabalho.
Parabéns e Abraço,
Lucas

Hello Josep,

The mirrored reflection gives an interesting symmetry. Good sharpness and linear perspective. The people add scale and animate the scene. Tfs!

Bonjour mon ami

Hello Josep,
An excellent presentation of the cathedral and the museum.
I really like the inclusion of that part of the museum building on top of the image.
A difficult strong light in the middle but you managed it well.
The people on the foreground add to a more relaxed atmosphere.
Best regards, Paul

HI

The museum windows gives you the idea to come close and record an almost symetrical picture. I would have lighten the shade
