[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The former château of the Barons d'Ezpeleta has belonged to the commune since 1694 when the family dynasty died out. It had originally been built around 1000. The village had subsequently developed around it.

The château now houses the mairie, or town hall, and various council offices plus the local tourist office and the library together with a museum dedicated to the production of the local dried red peppers.

Bonjour, cher Stephen,

Hello Stephen,
Very nice view over the perfect lawn towards the old walls of the château. The details from the brickwork and the roof tiles can be seen clearly, even from this distance. Excellent work.

Hi Stephen

Well framed and composed using the rule of thirds and placing the body of the attractive chateau in the central horizontal 1/3 division. Good sharpness and pleasant pastel colours. Tfs!

Witaj Stephen!
NIce castle.
EXcellent POV and composition.
I like colors and sharpness.
Well done.
Nice sunday.

Dobar dan.
Lep pogled, dobar tekst ...
Lepo pokazano mesto i arhitektura, dobar kontrast i ostrina, lepe boje. Lepa zelena trava i stari dvorac, lep trenutak sa oblacima.
Zelim vam lep dan za odmor, sve najbolje.

Good day.
Nice view, good text ...
Beautifully displayed place and architecture, good contrast and sharpness, nice colors. Nice green grass and old castle, a nice moment with clouds.
I wish you a nice day for rest, all the best.

Hi Stephen,

The composition is well divided, the sky, the castle and the garden. The point of view is showing the details of the architecture or the Barons d'Ezpeleta castle. The cloudy sly does not hurt the output of the colors. Have a nice day.

Hello Stephen,
the overcast conditions have given a good mood to this most distinctive and very impressive Château with the rolling landscape adding interest to the scene.
Regards Les.

BOnjour Stephen,

Il est beau dans toute sa simplicité ce château. J'aime beaucoup le terrain très vert qui l'entoure. Le ciel gris offre un beau contraste.

A very nice view of this historic castle, already
one thousand years old, perfect details, we can even recognize the "air toilet" on the tower, very nice photo
regards Ryszard

Hello Stephen,

I had never heard of the Château of the Barons d'Ezpeleta, but with this fine photo and note, I feel 0.1% more familiar with the Aquitaine region. This was the period of the Sun King, Louis XIV, I can imagine the great disparity in the life styles of the haves and the have-nots. It's an excellent architectural portrait.

Warm regards,

Ciao Stephen
il castello non sembra molto grande, ma sicuramente interessante, probabilmente era un castello di campagna, di quelli che venivano utilizzai per il controllo dell'agricoltura.
Ottima foto anche con il cielo grigio.

Hello Stephen,
A very nice view of interesting building of Espelette.
Perfect captured and nice colors.
Very nice work, fine presentation.

The cylindrical tower is like a "trademark" for being a Chateau, Stephen, just imagine this building without it, could not be called a "Chateau"... just my humor.
A fine take from a distant point, allow good wide sight with green lawn in front of.
Good afternoon,

Hello Stephen
Très joli ce château ou s'est installer la mairie, j'aime le POV, sa couleur entre le gris et le vert, c'est une belle harmonie des couleurs

Hi Stephen
I wonder how the family would feel if they knew their former home is now basically an office building - ouch! they must be turning in their graves. Must be interesting to see how they use the rooms. not the best weather day, but still an excellent subject for us to view. cheers

Ciao Stephen, great view of fantastic castle, excellent perspective, wonderful colors and splendid light, very well done, my friend, ciao Silvio

Hello Stephen,
This is an impressive castle rising out of the well manicured green lawn. I like the round tower at its end. The definition in the sky adds nicely to the overall pleasantness of the photo.
