Here is the larger and more detailed TE Beta version. HOT TUB.

For my 1300th post, I want to show something that is totally in my style - modern architecture.

This place has never been shown on TE before, I know because its newly built in downtown Vancouver.

And yes, that IS a hot tub hanging on the exterior of this apartment building! Is that cool or what, its something I've never seen before.

I took Lars and Rob here when they visited Vancouver from the Netherlands back in July. They enjoyed it as well.

Because its a new complex, not all the owners have moved in yet, there are only a few, so the chances of getting a photo of people IN the hot tub are small right now. Ironically enough, when Lars and Rob were here with me, a couple DID enter the hot tub, but only briefly, and we didn't get very good photos of them.

Perhaps I should have asked Lars and Rob to hop in! hahaha. Hope you like this place, I know I do

Hello Craig,

Eye-catching architectural solution, I would definitely try it with a beer in my hand. :)

Hello Craig,
Besides its eyes catching hot-tub hanging outside, which is unique - the place has a modern design and obviously for the rich. Excellent view upwards, its concaved shape wonderfully rendered.
Have a nice new day,

Hello Craig,

Haha, you're such a Joker lol, and the Penguin will be along shortly for a quick dip in the pool! Anyway, jokes aside, this is a fine upward pov of the new apartment block and its suspended pool. Tfs!

Hello Craig,
I haven't used a hot tub in recent years (but I do take showers), but when I did I was usually nude. That ordinary habit would make this a crowd-puller ;-). I haven't seen anything like this before and I doubt that I would be willing to use it, even fully dressed, but it provides an unusual and funny view. As you understand I find this less interesting as a photo than the last ones of people among brightly shining signs.
Have a nice weekend.

Congratulations on your 1300 posts.
A very modern complex, and the idea of the hot tub is unusual, a big fun for observers, but how many people want to swim for the public?
An excellent shot
regards Ryszard

Hello Craig,
Haha, great photo of the hot tub with the modern architecture very well seen in the background too. Have you flown your drone over the hot tub yet? I hope you'll get a photo of some swimming people soon, but if you don't we'll just bring our swim trunks next time we're in Vancouver.

Hello Craig,

I am always on beta, the original site is the picture to small.
You create depth and perspective too.
Composition and presentation are superb.
An excellent architecture and pleasant colours too.
Very well done, TFS.

Have a nice weekend,

Hello Craig
I had expected a picture of the hot tub with some people in it, taken with your drone 😉
But maybe we have to wait until we will visit Vancouver again.
I will add tomorrow a workshop-picture of the tub with person in swimming trunks (I already used my daily ration).
Have a nice weekend. Groet Rob

Waiting to go in
Just out of the water

Hello Craig,

I have ceased to be stunned by what I see on TE but this took me a long way down the road! I have never seen, nor even conceived anything like this! It is truly amazing, like a patch of blue sky in the centre of the curved complex, which you have composed perfectly.

How is this controlled?
Can anyone sneak in to have a soak or is it regulated by key or a warden?
It's just amazing!!!

Have a great w/e,
Bev :-)

Hi Craig

Amazing architecture, and it would have been very funny to see someone naked in this pool!

Hello Craig,
Congratulations on 1300 posts, a significant milestone in your TE life. The hot tub is a real eye-catcher. I also like the repeating motifs of the balconies and the contrast proved by the foreground vegetation.

Hi Craig,
That could also be a watching eye of the Big Brother on some scifi movie. That is truely brilliant and certainly catches attention. Fun title. It's not very long ago that I saw one of those 60's Batman series episodes.

Hello Craig,
Looking at the thumbnail I wondered how a swimming pool could be at that place ...
Well, apparently it was built there.
A very funny sight, especially when looking up like on this picture.
You will have to go back when all the owners have moved in and when they have a pool party :)
A very cool hot tub!
Best regards, Paul

Hello Craig,
Wonderful capture of skyscrapers in Vancouver.
I like wonderful details, good light, perfect exposure and good sharpness.
My congratulations 1300 photos in TE.
Fine presentation.

Ciao Craig
senza la vasca sarebbe stata un'architettura piacevole, ma non certo originale come in questo caso.
Mi piacerebbe conoscere il motivo da cui è scaturita questa stravagante idea....
Ottimo servizio fotografico.
Buona domenica

Hello Craig,
really this exterior pool as 'hanged' from the building is fascinating.I imagine that entering someone in it will be a grateful experience.Excellent presentation.

Hi, Craig.
Really sensational the image of that yacuzzi, which seems hung on the facade of the building, which on the other hand is a magnificent construction with that curvature, which gives it a different touch.
A fantastic photo, with beautiful natural colors, very good lighting and excellent sharpness.
Well done. I love.
Enjoy the end of the week.
Very best regards.

Hello Craig,
Now that's different. I've never seen a giant hot tub hanging off the side of a building like that before. The blue color of the water is great. I like all the greenery near the bottom, too. It almost seems like the architects wanted to create something tropical-looking in Canada. It works! I like the curves, and I'm sure I cound't afford an apartment in this complex. Oh well... :-)

Hello, Craig!

Really an impressive view of this hot tub hanging on this building, and the lines of this modern architecture give a very nice graphical effect to the image! Excellent light, colors and sharpness! Well done!

Hi Craig
Belle originalité pour ces 1300 post , félicitations
en effet c'est très particulier a voir, surement impressionnant d'être là dedans entre les hauts buildings, un luxe pour certaines personnes !!
superbe les WS

Hi Craig,
is there only one hot tub per the whole complex or only one apartment has it?
I am sure you will sooner or later get a chance to photograph a supermodel in the tube.
I can imagine you are waiting there for hours for an opportunity like this :)
Nice asymmetric composition with the green tube well placed.
Have a great weekend,
