Good Morning Everyone,

Please click on Croisic Harbour to enjoy this photograph much bigger and sharper. It is so worth the effort.

This is the pretty fishing port of Croisic.
The name comes from the Breton name meaning 'small cross' or 'small shore'.

The port is important and has been important in the town's development: fishing, anchorage and distribution of salt from the nearby marshes all played their part.

Today, because of its obvious history, its seafood, its attractive, characterful buildings and beaches, it is a popular holiday destination.
There are flower baskets oozing with plants to add a little more pizzazz to the area.

We enjoyed sitting at a street cafe and just watching the world go by!

Have a lovely day, Bev :-)

Witaj Bev!
Very nice view, curious port.
Excellent frame and colours.
The flowers add flavor to this composition.
I like it.
Well done.
Nice day.
Krzysztof

Hello Bev
You really had deserved a blue sky for this beautiful picture. The flowers, the harbour and the boats should have brighter sunlight than this faint sunshine.
But places along the ocean are more sensible for the influence of the sea. But looking at your picture I got the idea that later on that day the weather had improved.
Excellent work.
Have a nice day. Groet Rob

Good morning Beverley,
An excellent choice to include the flowers on the railing with the view of the harbor. Added much vividness to the already beautiful place.
There is a fine DOF and clarity to the scene, from the left side street to the promenade along, and the low-tide "parking" boats.
Wish you a nice new day,
Ike

Hi Bev,the sun left you this time but the quality of the pic is stil excellent. A lovelt view of the fishermen port of this village not often seen on TE,the flowers gives a special touch of colors in the composition. Have a nice day and thanks,Luciano

Hello Bev,
You had another rather dull day, but what a difference a basket of flowers makes! This explosion of tiny white and pink dots fills the foreground and makes us forget about the grey clouds. The long line of houses and the many boats stranded in the mud offer more interesting sights. It's a crisp and clear and very attractive composition.
Kind regards,
Gert

Philippe

Hello Bev, great colors, pure eye catcher!Interesting compo, I wonder how it would look, if the flowers were a bit lower, not covering the lower part of those buildings n the back. Despite size and position, I don't see an inbalance. Interestring to see boats when the water is gone.Well done. Congrats

Bonjour Bev,

Comme je le dis toujours, des fleurs à l'avant plan c'est toujours gagnant. Mais ici, tu nous en offre tout un bouquet et en plus il est magnifique. Mais il ne faut pas oublier l'arrière plan qui est magnifique.

Amicalement

Serge

Hi Bev,
Superb composition with the foreground flowers and the colored boats in the port. A lovely town, perfect to visit.

Hello Beverley,
What a great view of this charming seaside town. The photo is very well balanced between the harbour and its many boats at low tide and the houses and their many details on the left hand side. The flowers colour the cloudy day.

Hi Bev,
very attractive composition. The flowers decorate the foreground so nicely. Just behind a lovely town appears with a charming harbour promenade inviting for a walk. The marina at the low tide also works very photogenic. I see one of the boats is names after you ;)
Beautiful reportage from France,

Hello Bev

I love the pink and white flowers and the reflections of the boats in the tidal pools. Good sharpness and excellent colour and saturation. The < shape of the esplanade provides lead in lines and perspective. Tfs!

Hello Beverley,
A very nice and colourful picture that is also well balanced.
Very good sharpness and clarity and for sure a beautiful fishing port.
Best regards, Paul

Hi, Bev.
Wonderful composition of this beautiful fishing port, ideal the perspective of the port with the low tide, beautiful facades along the promenade and a powerful and beautiful touch for the image, of this floral massif in the foreground.
A fantastic photo, with beautiful natural colors, very good lighting and excellent sharpness.
Well done. I love.
Enjoy the weekend.
Very best regards.
Luis.

Ciao Bev

Boa foto!

Hi Bev
how on earth did I miss this one from your gallery page! the purple and pink colors stand out like a lighthouse beacon! and in the bg the dry docked boats, the charming buildings, its go alot going on, alot packed in the tiny frame. good choice to set it up this way. I'd love to see this place in person, thanks for sharing. cheers

hello Bev, Definitely the French villages are decorate with flowers with the most beautiful way. I saw some villages in my trip to france and everywhere there were a lot of flowers, in pots, along the canals and bridges. And I always asked myself - who care of them? Who water them?? Here also, the boats and houses are nice but the abundant flowers are main subject.

Kind regrad s Malgo

Some people have problems with registering on TE. In one computer I am still registered. I can't turn off comp because then I would also have problem :(.
