|[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note|
|The roofs of Andernach taken from a site not accessible to the public.|
Parish church Maria Himmelfahrt (St. Mary's Assumption) closes the view northward down the Rhine valley through Andernach gap. Runder Turm (the round tower) with its 56 m is a part of the medieval town fortification from 1440. The French tried to blow it up in 1689, but failed.
There used to be another obtrusive object in the Andernach panorama: the high silo of a malt factory.
This sin of urban planning was torn down several years ago and has not been missed since then.

abundance of elements and colours and soft warm lights. I like the peacefull atmosphere of this shot
Belo trabalho.
Parabéns e Abraço,
beautiful catch, colors and depth.
A true moment of autumn.

Hello Sven ,
What a beautiful capture of this picturesque town and its outstanding towers , with splendid autumn tonalities and a great game of light and shade .
Nice postcard with this old town skyline. I like the rising towers and the superb warm sunlight. Good catch!
