Nothing special picture, taken random from my archive. I have read that the hurricane Irma hit Cuba and the city that suffered most was the village of Caibarien. It is the whole under water.

We can read a lot about Irma approaching Florida but not so much about Cuba. I feel very sorry for Cubans as they are very poor and it will be difficult time for them to recover.

Havana was flooded, see

Bigger beta piccture

Similar view maybe it would be better for the main upload.

Ciao cara Malgo, lovely composition with original trasportation system, fine details, excellent clarity, wonderful colors and splendid light, very well done, my friend, ciao Silvio

Hello Malgo,
I believe the Cubans are very resilient people and though it will take time I am sure they will overcome their present difficulties. In the meantime, we can enjoy this pleasant daily life scene from your archives. Lots of little detail to observe. Excellent technical realisation.

Hello Malgo,
Since nothing special is my favorite category I enjoy this photo, even if it's "nothing special". It's just a nice glimpse from an ordinary small town street with ordinary people possibly waiting for things to happen. The WS is also a nice picture. The storms are indeed disastrous to a lot of people and islands that have been totally devastated and so many poor people have lost everything. How will nature and people recover?
Kind regards,
Gert

Philippe

Hi Malgo,2 very nice pics from your cuban archive, but this moment isn't easy for this people as we know....thanks a lot for your very useful link, great help to see what happens and impressive to who is been there like me. Have a nice week and thanks,Luciano

Daily life scene in rural Cuba, both photo worth to be as main post, malgo.
The street action well detected, especially the easy riding of the guy on his three-wheels bike.
And yes, my friend - we have trains in Israel.
Regards,
Ike

Hello,
It's a tragedy what is happening there. Nature cannot be controlled and innocent people die. It's so sad for such nice places were destroyed...

Hello Malo,

I think that everyone of us complies with the people where the hurricane has passed.
The people be poor and this hurricane this is real a disaster.
Also nice perpective and depth picture.
Very well done, nice colour, excellent sharp and clear. TFS.

Best regards,
John.

Ciao Malgo,

Amicalement

Serge

Hello Malgo,

Thankyou for putting this international disaster into perspective. It has barrelled through and damaged many countries although the US seems to be in the limelight. Lets hope there was no looting as there was in Florida. Tfs!

Ciekawy pojazd, u nas tez przypomniano sobie o rikszach i w niektórych miastach tez woza turystow, ale meleksy maja wieksze powodzenie.

Hello, Malgo!

As I usually read newspapers from Cuba (granma.cu) and the Dominican Republic (listindiario.com), I know more about what's going on there than in Florida. They are now beginning to rebuild what was lost in the huricane. At least they are much more prepared to that than Haiti, that fortunately hasn't been hit very hard this time. A simple but beautiful image that reminds me of my wonderful trip to Cuba 7 years ago!

Hello Malgo,

good image of this street in Cuba, I hope the hurricane effects will be solved soon, the picture show a typical caribbean scene, well done,

Best regards,

Sergio

malgo hello and good evening to you...your shot really captured the REAL Cuba here! excellent all around work! tfs dale

Angel.

Hello Malgo
Good idea to show us this picture of Caibarien in better times. You are right, there is less attention for the damage Irma made in Cuba. Here the news is full of the damage in St Maarten, part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, hitted when Irma was still category 5. Now we have send our king to them to help.
Groet Rob

Ciao Malgo
Saluti
Carlo

Hi Malgorzata,

You have captured well the action of the taxi-bike driver. The point of view is showing the details of the buildings. The good luminosity is enhancing the colors. Have a nice day.

Hallo Malgo,
Wolfgang

Hello Malgo,
It is sad to hear about the calamity that has hit this town. We were so preoccupied by Florida that we did not pay attention to the rest of the world. Nice tribute, I hope they have a speedy recovery, too.

MT
