Plaça de Catalunya in Barcelona.
At about 5pm local time on Thursday, a white Fiat van veered off the road and into a crowd outside the Plaça de Catalunya metro station in Barcelona.

The van continued down the pedestrian concourse in Las Ramblas for more than 500 metres while crashing into pedestrians until it hit a newspaper kiosk, killing 13 and injuring about 100. The driver flees on foot.
Cambrils: Friday, 1am
Car drives into pedestrians in second attack, one woman was killed and six civilians and one police officer injured. Police shoot five suspected terrorists.

For those who have no Facebook - our friends Josep, Pili, Carlos and Juan are safe.

Hello Malgo,
Thanks for this tribute, and for the update on our TE friends. I was wondering about them. The world is saturated with bad news these days. It's all so senseless...

Hi Malgo,a new page of this sad story, this time from Spain...i hope that it's the last. I have directly experienced such a situation in Sharm in 2005 and thank God if I am still here, unfortunately in Barcelona other people, including 2 Italians, did not have the same luck. Thanks for the contribution and good weekend, Luciano

Hello Malgo,

Your photograph shows us the atmosphere that should be prevailing in Barcelona.
It is so sad that young people can be persuaded to kill themselves and others for what seems so senseless.
This sad news affects all people, all over the world!

Thank you for this memorial,
Bev :-)

Thank you Malgo for this post about the sad news !
This is a great picture of Barcelona, which shows only beauty and happiness : These features must win over barbarism.
Glad to hear our friends are safe.
Kindest regards.
Marie-Louise.

Dear Malgo,

BW conversion is quite unusual from you, but I think it works very well on this picture, highlighting the shapes and the frozen move of the people.

Nice work.
Best Wishes,
Gy

Hello Malgo,

Sorry, I have no smiley more but I think that not that it must.

I wish every civilian of Spain, find much strength, also, we in Belgian known, what be attacks on innocent people.
Yesterday in Paris or Brussels in London and Spain, why always innocent people for religion make dead.

I'm surprised what these people do in whose name!
Thank you for this memoria0.

Hello Malgo,
I guess you made this in B&W so it shouldn't look too bright and nice after such a tragic event. This kind of discretion may seem a better tribute to the dead and injured and to the people of the city generally. Maybe this is a "no points please" photo, but some have given you an ordinary smiley, so I will do that too, because it's a good photo. As so many times before I wonder why you didn't show it earlier. But I know, so many photos and so little time...
Kind regards,
Gert

Thanks for this shoot with innocent children...

Ciao Malgo,

Czarno biala obrobka rowniez zdaje sie miec zalobny nastroj.
Doskonaly sposob zeby upamietnic to tragiczne wydarzenie.

Pozdrawiam serdecznie,
M

Hello Malgo,
Nice gesture in response to the evil attacks. I think B&W is very appropriate. I wish Europe stopped ignoring the root cause of this pure evil.
Regards,
MT

Hi Malgo,
Good idea with this view in b&w as tribute about this sad news, well made, good photo, tfs.

Cara Itchy Feet

A beautiful tribute to this magnificent city. My heart and prayers are with them. This city has seen so much bloodshed and sadness in its history. It will live on and become even stronger, I am sure.

Un abbraccio
Lisa
