Good Morning Everyone,

to get the full effect of the scene from a much larger, clearer version.

Oxford Street is a very busy thoroughfare in London and was packed with visitors ,not only to shop but, to catch a glimpse of this veteran car rally.

You can imagine the melee as one of the cars temporarily stalled and the whole cavalcade came to a halt!

I wish I could include sound as well as picture to really bring this scene to life!

I wish you a happy Sunday, Bev :-)

I have just seen the NEWS!
I am so upset that my photograph has coincided with the terrible happenings in London, today. Please leave a comment but do not feel that you need to leave points. My heart goes out to all those who have suffered.
Today, is the day that Manchester is reliving the Ariana Grande Concert in defiance of the brutal attackers.

Hello Beverley,
Excellent picture of these old cars together with two red double deckers.
That must have been an experience in Oxford Street!
Very good clarity and sharpness.
Best regards, Paul

Hi Bev
this is wonderful, you know what this reminds me of? This is exactly the type of photo we'd see from our dear friend John.
Where has John been lately anyways? We miss him here....

and yes, the Beta version really does make a difference on this one as well.

the driver turning his head back makes a strong impact, as does the expression on the passengers face...he's thinking...REALLY? REALLY? Is this happening? haha

such a fun and impromptu photo

Bonjour, chère Bev,
C'est amusant de constater le regard porté par les passants, il devait être identique à l'époque des premières automobiles.
Bravo pour cette composition très réussie.

Well Beverley, old cars can stall anytime... that's normal and the way you describe this, with new English words for me, made me smile.
The sight is awesome, the photo depict a funny moment on OXford street.
Besides that, I was startled again with the news from London this morning.
Wish you a calm sunday,

Hello Bev,
The framing and point of view make us feel we are in amongst the action. Excellent street capture very well realised.

Hello Beverley
Knowing how busy Oxford street can be, I can hardly imagine how to squeeze in an old-timer rally there. But aren't these cars just gorgeous really!! I love this absolutely. The design of these first models was just so beautiful.
have a great time

Hello Bev,
Like others before me I will give you two points for this, in spite of yet another meaningless and disgusting attack. Let us still enjoy photos of people having fun and living their undisturbed lives. This is an entertaining and colourful photo and deserves to be seen as that.
Kind regards,

Bonjour Beverly,

On se sent en plein centre de l'action dans cette photo. Remarquable choix de point de vue, belle hauteur au niveau des gros phares de la voiture et un regard qui part dans toutes les directions.

Hello Bev,

good image of this famous street, I like the old car we can see here, the scene with all the people is interesting,
The news are sad but we must go on and not allow that fanatics change our lives.

Witaj Bev!
Wow, I am a fan of old motoring!
Beautiful old mobil.
Nice scene from street.
Good reporter shot.
Excellent colors and sharpness.
Very well done.
Nice evening.
I am together with those who suffer, it is very sad. Brutal attacks.

Dear Beverley,

I will leave point, regardless of the sad events. As your fellow countrymen used to say during WWII bombings: business as usual.

Best Wishes,

Ciao Bev

Hello Bev, My heart also goes out for all those who suffered in London and in Manchester. It is so painful.
Amusing view of these old cars on the busy street. Must have been fun to see it all.

Kind regrad s MAlgo

Hello Beverley,

Are they allowed on the streets? These cars must really have been maintained so well that they can still take to the streets.

Lovely looking machines.

Hello Beverley,
Great impression from Oxford Street, particularly on this special day which not only featured some of the iconic red London buses, but also the classic cars and the many people attracted by them. Excellent capture, the foreground is pin sharp, which looks great against the motion blur of the bus.

Hello Beverley

The fg blue vintage car contrasts well with the red bg bus. Good sharpness and effective tight framing with nice use of a shallow dof. I dont think these cars r]travel too fast f=so the driver can afford to look behind briefly! Tfs!

Ciao cara Bev, lovely composition with fantastic old car, fine details, wonderful colors and splendid light, very well done, my friend, ciao Silvio

Hello Beverley,

An excellent busy moment of Oxford street and shoot it well. Well framing and nice composition.

best regards,

Hello Beverly,
I have seen cars as old as these here in the U.S., so I can imagine the noises. It looks like the driver of AA 161 is trying to back up, I hope he did not hit the yellow car. I love the colors and commotion and of, course, the old cars.
I was sad to follow the news coming from Great Britain. Although I do not know what the solution is, a proper diagnosis of the problem is in tall order.

Hi Bev,
Quite surprising to see such vehicles in Central London! Wonderful close-up. And a bit frightening too, as the driver looks back just when you click the shutter.
Red buses with motion blur make excellent background.

Hello Beverley
This kind of chaos is enjoyable for those who love vintage cars, like me. I recently saw a similar rally in my country.
Nice to see this image.

Hi Bev

I missed this one while I was in Manchester! It very interesting to see those old cars, to think of the people who invented and created them .
No point of course.
By the way, I have taken some pictures of the mourning area of the attack of Manchester, really impressive and moving.

Hello Beverly,

wonderful shot of the vintage car making its way out
i reckon this was some kind of vintage event where the people can flaunt their museum cars ^_^

very nice crowded admiring the vintage cars and you shot is marvelous because of the moving buses at the background

excellent color saturation

well done!
