Bonjour, chère Malgo,
A travers cette très belle composition, l'on peut se demander ce qu'il reste aux gros appareils photos.
La mise en image est excellente.

A fascinating mural captured under a beautiful warm light. The boy lying sprawled against it makes an interesting contrast. Excellent technical quality. Smart phones come in useful sometimes though I am not a great fan of them. Good luck with your main camera; is it the same problem as before? Happy Easter to you and your family.

Hi Malgo. No wonder your camera took a holiday or a "sickie" as they say here when someone pretends to be sick so as not to go to work. I am sure it was overworked belonging to you. You still managed to take a great shot of a highly original mural. Nice composition as well on your part. Pozdrav. Klaudio.
I had to go searching for an overview shot to work out the context of this segment.
It was a great decision by the Barcelona authorities to leave this 'temporary' exhibition as a permanent public display. Tfs!

U Ciebie wesolo, mozaika robi wrazenie.
Chlopaszek fajnie zapozowal.
Wiosennych Swiat dla Ciebie i bliskich!!!

I don't want to sound ironic, but with a mobile phone like that you don't really need another camera. This is probably my favourite of all your Spanish photos. It's an interesting, eye-catching, bright and well cropped photo and there is an interesting story to come with it, well complemented by the workshops. I am surprised to find that boy sitting there, but he certainly does wonders for your composition. What a great idea to put this splendid work of art here, and what a great idea to let it remain.
I think Klaudio may have a point: you probably force your camera to work too hard. You can't take 2,000 photos a day and expect nothing to happen ;-)

I am back ......
It took me a while to understand what the mural was really showing, despite your good explanation. For me it is the boy sitting in front of the mural that really makes this composition a real eye catcher.
I know the frustrating feeling of a camera braking down during a trip. It has happened twice to me as well. First time my beloved D90 got soaked during an unexpected downpour in Iceland. Luckily enough I had an old D80 as backup with me. More recently my D610 gave way when a piece of the shutter came loose in midst of the grand mosque in Abu Dhabi with still almost two weeks of Oman in front of us. As at this time I didn't had a back up with me, we spent most of the next time running around the shopping malls in Abu Dhabi in search of a cheap replacement as budget was a tad bit stretched. Even tough I was able to record our time in Oman with a small Nikon bridge camera, I still was upset. There where so many subject that would have profited from a full frame camera and many projects as long time exposures of the night sky in the desert or photographing rare species of birds close up where not possible then.
have a great easter weekend

Tu nous raconte une histoire d'horreur avec ces caméras qui font les difficiles juste au moment où on ne veut pas que cela arrive. Ton téléphone a bien récupéré devant cette belle murale.

Swietnie skadrowane, a siedzacy na chodniku chlopiec to super dodatek do zdjecia, w dodatku ubrany w kolory pasujace do malowidla na scianie. Az trudno uwierzyc, z ze to przypadek.
Wspolczuje problemow ze sprzetem! Wiem, jakie to denerwujace, kiedy fotograf musi sie koncentrowac na sprawach technicznych, zamiast na pracy tworczej.
Pozdrawiam i raz jeszcze zycze radosnych Swiat Wielkanocnych.

Hello Malgo, I am a great fan of this type of picture, a photocomposition; how do they do it?
The boy really makes the shot work, we need him as the focal point, but then we start to look at all the tiles.
Thanks for the close up shot to complement this one.
Taken with your mobile? Excellent quality.

gran bella serie di foto, difficile valutare la migliore.
In ogni caso questa mi piace molto e i colori del ragazzo sono perfettamente in sintonia con il mosaico alle sue spalle.

This photo is a real gem. Both the mosaic, and the young boy sitting in front of it, are extremely photogenic. The boy's pose is great, and your framing creates the strongest visual impact. I also like the WS photos. It's amazing to see this work of art up close, and realize how unique each individual tile is. Wishing you a Happy Easter! :-)

Witaj Malgo, and a Happy Easter to you and all of your family!
If mastership means the capability of continuing work even with the "poorest" means without remarkable restrictions in the result - then you're a master.
This is outstanding!

Good morning Malgo,
Fascinating stuff. the collage is a wonderful idea, prevailed by orange tone. The kid sitting in front gave both scale and life to the still scene.
Have a nice new week,

A sad story illustrated with some marvellous pictures. Your story tells how spoiled the modern photographer are. When your camera break down there is still another smaller one available and when that one is also useless we have still out smartphone. And all three possibilities gives pictures of a quality you dreamed of 20 years ago. We did get used to this modern times and right we are.
Have a nice day
