Good Morning Everyone,

Again, I am posting a shot about people. Well, this is a series about one person that we saw on the streets of Trier.

It is certainly worth seeing the shot on Beta by clicking on this link.

Here, you can see the artist preparing to become a silver statue.

It is most interesting to see the development of the character, which we encountered as we returned. I will post that as a w/s.

Then, of course, there is always interaction between the public and these immovable statues, which I will post as a second w/s.

I hadn't realised what an in depth series I had of this man, until I was browsing my archive as the shots were quite a long time apart. I hope you enjoy them; they were fun!

Have a good day, Bev :-)

Hello Bev,
It's surprising how enterprising some of these living statues are and how complex some of their 'costumes' are. I suppose they must make a reasonable living from it, otherwise they wouldn't do it day in day out. They must have the patience of Job. Lovely triptych of images very well realised.

Continues warm and sunny here (24 today), goes downhill tomorrow, before recovering again for nest week. Have a great afternoon.

Hello Bev,
This is one of the most interesting photos I have seen here for a while. I have of course seen many such street artists but never anyone preparing the performance or leaving the place. They always seem to appear out of nowhere. By coincidence you created a fine trilogy of photos showing every stage of this man's day at the office. I would never have imagined a living fountain. How amazing. And by the way, all photos are very well taken, nicely composed and with excellent light and colours.
Kind regards,
Gert

Hello Bev,

I have much respect for the man, this is a specialty in a great art program.
All your three pictures are superb, and very pleasant to look at.
But your picture is wonderful and perfect detailed.
Lovely nice sharp and clear.
Very well done, TFS.

Have a nice day,
John.

Bonjour Beverly,

Philippe

Good afternoon Beverley, thanks for your critique that made me smile when red about your doll's house...
A nice take of a daily life, we see those guys all around Europe nowadays, looks as a simple job, but hard day's making-living. There was fine light that accentuate the silver color's and the action on the famous pedestrians-road in Trier.
My best regards,
Ike

Dear Beverley,

Nice portrayal of this street artist. We don't often see them during the preparing process. They mostly appear, when they are fully dressed up.

Best Wishes,
Gy.

Ciao Bev
bella serie di foto, ci spiegano molto bene l'attività di questo ragazzo.
Non avevo mai visto questo tipo di trasformazione, molto originale.
Saluti
Carlo

Hi Bev,i like a lot this post! A great choice of the main pic, like the 1st part of this history but showing us something of different and not the usual street artist at work. A great idea, and obviusly the other 2 pics are interesting like the other parts of your post...oppsss...i hope you understand,my english is a disaster..ehehe...have a nice weekend and thanks,Luciano

Hi Bev
now i've gotta say, this is one dedicated man!
so often we see these performers and their costume or outfit can be rather lame and pathetic. Not this guy!!!!

he's going full out, its an easy A for effort.

and the final product with the water fountain is awesome.
I have never ever ever given these guys money...but this guy i'd actually give him some.

wonderful collection of 3 photos! put a smile on my face for sure. cheers
craig

Hi Bev,
Nice capture of this street artist, looks like there's a lot of logistic behind the performance. Well observed.
Have a good weekend.

Daniel

Hi Bev

It's amazing to see how inventive is this mate to be transformed into a fountain to earn some coins at the end of the day! Presently, no one is interested, except you to record the full change process.
have a nice WE, rain in Bordeaux

Hi Bev
Dedicated artist at work - cum the living statue in the making!

Looking at your WS photos and the end results, we can only admire their artistic talent. Yes he does look great and you're almost compelled to watch but what amazes me most is the 'work behind the scene', the time and effort these guys go to when they make themselves up. Hope he earns his days worth.

Great street capture! Congrats :)
Best regards,

Hello Bev, very good photo of this interesting scene of the daily life of the man statue, very well captured in this interesting image, with good clarity, light, color and quality. A great work perfectly done, my congratulations, my friend. Thank you for sharing this interesting work.

Good night and happy start to the week.
All the best from the south of Spain.
Angel.

Hello Bev,

This is a fairly common sight all over Europe. Good to see the preparation for a change. I only ever seemed to encounter the living statues ready and waiting. Good trio of images that reinforce each other. Tfs!

Hello Beverly,
And all this for a fistful of dollars (or euros)? You present to us a lovely scene from the life of this artist.
Regards,
MT
