Hello John, So winter came already also to Scotland. It was white today morning in my garden, and Gert wrote that in Stockholm there is a lot of snow. I am not glad , I do not like winter in town. But in spite of this weather you went for a walk. brave! I spent the whole National Day at home, by comp.
Lovely composition with these two brave tourists.

Hi John. How I envy those two and yourself as you all find yourself in snow and wilderness, two of my favourite things.Wonderful undulating hills and an enchanting stretch of water embellished with fine reflections. Happy chaps. Regards. Klaudio.

The first snow creates a wonderful landscape and splendid images, but for make a stroll a little bit dangerous.
Your picture is real idyllic, creates much depth and perspective.
I hope that the snow not comes to Flanders Belgium.
An excellent composition and good presentation.
Very well done, TFS.
Have a nice weekend,

A fine capture of this attractive snowy landscape. I like the point of view with the track creating depth and perspective and the walkers supplying an effective focal point and some contrasting colour. Lights and colours are very agreeable despite the overcast sky. Like Malgo, I am not a fan of snow other than to look at in beautiful pictures like this.

I read about the first snow of the season in many parts further north in Europe and although it's been pretty cold recently in The Netherlands too, we haven't had any snow so far. A beautiful view of the gentle slopes covered by a thin layer of snow. The brown fence and spots in the fields add a nice contrast and so do the two hikers, who are very well included.

As Malgo has already informed you Stockholm received lots of snow the same day, actually more than any time in November for well over 100 years. In the city it only causes problems, but in an area like this, and on relatively bright day, it looks fantastic The road and the fence create a fantastic depth and the surrounding scenery is magnificent. You waited for your friends to reach a point suitably far away before taking the photo.

I like snow but in Holland you never know. Some winters have a lot, but other none. This deems the right amount to start the winter and let you enjoy the white landscape. Stockholm had a more spectacular start of the winter with a 39 cm early November record.
Have a good weekend
I saw this on Facebook and hoped you had uploaded it to TE. And looky here, you have. It's a beauty and as I sit here in 30 degree heat at midnight and look at snow, it really is weird . The pathway leads the eye in so deftly, the people walking are a very suggestive contrast to the snow and bracken. But my favourite element is there silvery reflections on the right of the frame. A stunningly beautiful image, how lucky you are to see it first hand.
Un abbraccio, I hope you and your lady love are well

I like very much this quiet scene and its atmosphere, the snowy landscape is magical and inviting. You composed and framed the scene wonderfully, keeping a good distance from the trekkers and arranging all the lines of the landscape in a way that they seem to lead both the people and our glance into the scenery. The colours express a soothing harmony. Congratulations and thank you!
Amazing that we are still wearing very light clothes here and it feels and smells like spring these days!
All the best, have a great evening,

Snow already? The shipping centres are right it is Christmas again :) is a very beautiful view that seems to lead deep deep into the hills. I think that in those conditions, if probably head to the pub!
Good morning John, and many thanks for your note.
I looked up this location on the map, those mountains are just north of the Scottish border and amazingly have snow this early days of the season.
The sight is awesome with this white blanket, a stroll around there should be great.
View downhill's to the length of the trail, the lake on side and the vast slopes ahead - all culminate beautifully on the photo.
have a nice Sunday,

grande prospettiva su questo paesaggio innevato, la ringhiera, il fiume e la strada contribuiscono a mettere in risalto la tua composizione.
Eccellente la presenza delle due persone.

I never got to visit this area of Scotland, perhaps next time.
sweet shot my friend. you couldn't have asked for better lighting and exposure. and the way the red/rust colours stand out against the white snow is brilliant. excellent shapes and figures in the bg with the large mounds. I get the feeling this place looks way better in the snow than without it.
well shot. cheers

A place I would like to discover by foot, even in winter.
