I would like to show my pictures in chronological order with a kind of travelogue . I hope to present Cuba less known. II realize it is not the wise idea :).
As to my backpack, it was not in Havana hostel. I complained again in Toronto, they are looking for it. Now it is a new case and they should send it to me in Warsaw.

The adventures of crazy traveler, part 1.
The first two days I spent in Havana. Then I went to Vinales. Most people go there just for the excursion from Havana or Varadero, visit the Mural of Prehistoria, the Indio Cave and return back. But Vinales deserve the longer visit. I reserved two nights there.
I wanted to go by Viazul bus. But the bus station was farther than I expected and when I came the bus was gone. When will be the next? Tomorrow. What to do? Other possibility is to take a shared taxi - collectivo. The cost is then as with the bus. But the problem is to have four persons. I was alone. But the driver agreed to take me anyway for 25 CUC (= 25 euro). Not so bad for the 170 km ride.
In the evening I went around to see the people working on tobacco fields. I was really delighted.
It will be continued :)

Big beta picture.

Hello Malgo,
Splendid view over this tobacco plantation making good use of the cabin as a focal point. Very pleasant warm lights and colours; excellent sharpness. A joy to see on a cold and windy February day.

Hi Malgo, you were lucky to find a very good price for this long road,it's very interesting to read your adventures in a place that i seen 3 times but only with classic tourist trips.A nice capture of the tobacco fields of Vinales,it's interesting to compare the plants size with mines taken at the end of November,i like it! Have a nice day and thanks,Luciano

Hello Malgo ,
It is a good idea to present your trip in a chronogical order . Sometimes i've thought the same , but never done it .
This is a beautiful view of the tobacco fields under a superb warm light , with focal elements as the hut and the signs in the FG .

Hello Malgo,
In most parts of Africa no public transports of shared taxis leave until they are completely full = overloaded. Many times I have had to wait for up to 5 or 6 hours before the driver was satisfied. After a while the charm of traveling like this is lost.
This is a nice view but the photos indicate how much Cuba has been left behind by American sanctions and a not so good economic policy. I remember that before Poland entered the EU there were discussions how many billions of euros that had to be spent to modernize the Polish agriculture and rural economy generally.
But this certainly looks nice in its way. I guess it's not the hut across the field that is called Villa Paraiso.
Kind regards,
Gert

Czesc Malgorzata,
Piekna zielono brazowa roslinnosc. A wiec to te liscie z ktorych pozniej powstana slynne kubanskie cygara!

Podoba mi sie, swietna jakosc, ostrosc, kolory itp.

Choc wlasciwie mieszkam teraz w nienajlepszej czesci kraju :(

Amicalement

Serge

Hello Malgo,
So this is the place where the tobacco grows of the world-famous Havana Cigars.
I think now much easier to buy all over the world than the last decades now the boycott-rules will be liberalized.
A lovely green-blue composition of this friendly landscape.

Hello Malgo,
Very nice picture, and fascinating story. I am looking forward to the next chapters. I am sorry that you did not get a nice day in Toronto, but at least you were lucky with the UP Express.
All the bests,
Barnabas

Hello Malgo,
A beautiful picture with excellent luminosity and lots of pretty green tones.
I guess the island must be very fertile.
Beautiful houses and barns in the middle of the fields. The rocky hills make a good background.
You haven't told us yet if you did smoke a Cuban cigar :)
Best regards, Paul

Hello Malgo,

The tobacco for those Cuban cigars has to come from somewhere so no surprise to see tobacco growing in these Cuban fields. Good sharpness and a bright, attractive light. The barns with thatched roofs to keep the tobacco dry make good focal points. Tfs!

Come nelle migliori serie televisive.

Hello Malgo,
This is a great rural landscape. The earthy colors and small houses in the distance are very nice. The two signs anchor the foreground nicely, and we can see that paradise is not that far away. :-) It's a very scenic place, but the workers must work hard to harvest the tobacco.

Hi Malgo
Oh Malgo, you always have an adventure to share :)
and speaking of sharing, I really enjoyed the video you sent to me by email. I watched the entire video and was smiling the entire time haha. Thanks so much for that.

I wish I had gone here too, but I was too happy in Havana and didn't want to leave - you know why :)

wonderful lighting and colours all throughout in this scene, its seems so quiet and so surreal. Much different from old Town Havana :)

lovely experience you had here, thanks for sharing it
cheers
