[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I have posted already the photo from Central Library in Liverpool, made during a day. After I returned from Dublin, I went there again to make some shots when the glass dome above was in darkness. I found this building awesome. More photos you can see on my FB page.

The library is located in several adjoining historic buildings on the city's historic William Brown Street. The library's first building was the William Brown Library and Museum building which was completed in 1860 and which it has always shared with the city's museum, now known as World Museum Liverpool. The library was then extended further to the right with the addition in 1879 of the Picton Reading Room and to the rear with the Hornby Library in 1906. All three of these buildings are Grade II* listed buildings and are built in a classical style similar to other buildings on the street.
Liverpool city library is celebrating an exciting new chapter after being named the city’s best attraction.
The library was named number one out of 124 attractions in the city by travel review site TripAdvisor.
The library was opened in May after a £50m restoration.

Hello Malgorzata,
A very unusual perspective that makes it interesting too look at. Took a while before I saw what is what!. Lovely colors and perfect exposure.

Hi Malgo,
I know this will sound strange, but when I saw the thumbnail for this, my first thought was that this was an image of an antikythera :) Something about it made me think of ancient precise mechanics, perhaps the similarity to a clock face with the crossing lines of technology. I can really see why this place was fascinating, you have created a really unique image with this most unusual design, and the angle you have taken compliments the place perfectly. Wonderful shot, thanks for sharing
All the best

Hi Malgo
Close Encounters Of The Library Kind!
It looks so space age this and you have captured it so imaginatively. Love the lights, shapes and textures here that look so impressive and amazing. Excellent!

Enjoy the weekend - B.

Hello Malgo,
When I was child living in the centre of Liverpool I used to spend quite a lot of my spare time in the William Brown Library and museum. So it is most interesting to see the results of the recent restoration. The upwards point of view and calculated framing makes the most of the graphical lines offered by the architecture. Exposure is spot on and the detail excellent. Thanks for sharing and have a good weekend.

Ciao Malgorzata,

Ciao cara SIF

I'd love to see this in B&W. The colour is beautiful, but wanting to see it in B&W was my original thought. Either way, it's stunning, beautifully colours with excellent use of the wide angle to fit everything in. I can imagine all those spot lights didn't make it easy either. But not a problem for Itchy Feet! It looks three-dimensional, wow, I'm getting dizzy now.

Thanks for sharing, it's really beautiful

Hi Malgo,

I very much enjoyed seeing this once before on FB, and it's just as lovely here! :) There's so much to absorb here that it's kind of a mind bender at first sight. You did a nice job putting this together in a manner that showcases the strong oval shape and also offers so many other fascinating aspects of form and function. I keep finding myself bending my head to the right to get the sensation of standing underneath. A wonderful approach to this shot! Enjoy the new day ahead.

Friendly wishes,

Browsing the archives, I stumbled upon this earlier post of yours, Malgo. I know the city quite well, but haven't visited the library yet. I'll mark it for next time, though. This looks very impressive!
