On Saturday, Lisa took me for sunrise photo near Opera. The next day we went even earlier to see Coogee beach. I saw earlier some photos of the rock pool there and I made also virtual walk in Google, so it seemed to me as if I was there before. When we came the sky seemed uninteresting, with many grey clouds. Later we saw some colours. I was not much interested in the famous pool. It was high tide and the ocean was rather angry, so I was fascinated with the broader view. It seemed a bit cold so I was surprised to see a lone surfer. I liked the view of him struggling with waves. Then I wanted to see how is the water and Lisa took this photo of me. Lisa and earlier Klaudio seemed impressed that I didn't care about wet feet and shoes. But nothing strange in it. I saw a lot of beaches in Australia, in fact, most Australian live near the beaches, but I had not much opportunity to try a bath in them. In many places they were dangerous because of sharks, crocodiles and box jelly fish. Even if they were safe I had no time or it seemed cold. During all this time I could swim only once - on Great Barrier Reef, and as they warned against jelly fish, I had to wear the suit for the whole body (funny look it was).
After shooting Lisa invited me for breakfast and encouraged me to taste Vegemite. It was fun! I found it also amusing that she is a bit younger than my son, I could be her Mom :).

Hi Malgo
Very beautiful romantic view and nice reflections on the sea
Very good lights ambiance
Well done
Kind regards

Bonjour, chère Malgo,
Oh ! magnifique réalisation. Quel bonheur de pouvoir contempler un tel spectacle.
Félicitations à la photographe pour cette réalisation de très grande qualité.
Très bonne journée.

Hello Malgo,
A delightful little anecdote to accompany this beautiful composition. The early morning atmosphere is very nicely evoked courtesy of the backlit clouds and the soft golden rays of the sun. The lone surfer is well included and is cleverly placed. Thanks for sharing story and photograph.

Hi Malgo,
Early bird catches the best light and the sole surfer :))
I guess you had lots of "the most amazing thing i've seen or done" to write in your CS blog. Great Barrier Reef? WoW! Visiting Ayers Rock? Another Wow! Australia is so far from here that i cannot even dream about going there. Maybe in 50 years :))
Hope to see you in October (are you sure, it will be rainy). As i am also the age of your son, i can be as fast and swift as you, and i am not afraid of your endless energy :))
Best wishes,

Ciao Malgo,
Ciao e buona serata

Hello Malgorzata,
Another lovely view from Australia. And your note and links make it more fun to visit your page.

Nice sunset here, i like the kayakist and the high contrasts
The sky is awesome and the light perfectly managed
Very nice work

Hello Malgorzata,
I can understand going out early to catch the best light, but going out surfing at this time of the morning sounds crazy to me. But then I'm not Australian. Anyway the light is great, the clouds are very pretty and the lone surfer makes the view a whole lot more interesting, so I am sure you are grateful to him. The early light is beautifully captured.
Kind regards,

Très beau lever de soleil avec un ciel magnifique et de belles teintes.
merci pour la photo de Lisa avec son célèbre trépied.

Hello Malgo,
a wonderful image with amazing colors and lighting!

Dear Itchy Feet

What a beautiful light you captured here, the tones seem so much warmer than the light I got. It just goes to show how quickly the light was changing. I'm sorry you didn't get a sunrise as marvellous as the day prior, but this looks sensational to me. In stark contrast to my rough morning head in the Workshop ;) Wish I'd worn some make up now hahahaha! The inclusion of the guy and his surf ski (we call the "Goat Boats" was a wonderful way to balance the image. The reflections on the sand in the foreground are sheer magic.

Hugs and I hope you've recovered from your travels

Hi Malgo,
I enjoyed reading your note and learning a bit more about your Australian experiences. The picture is a very fine one with the sun's rays and the light falling on the surf. A very well constructed composition with diagonal waves and a silhouetted BG, and of course the lone surfer beautifully placed in the frame.
Best wishes, Ann
