Partial view of the Ponte Vecchio, a notable Medieval bridge over the Arno River, in Firenze.
It had appears in documents on 996 AC, than destroyed by a flood in 1117, reconstructed again until 1345. The last severe flood was in 1966.
Initially occupied by Butchers shops, but the present tenants are Jewelers, art-dealers and souvenir-sellers for tourists.
At the time taken I was not aware of the boat under the bridge.

A wider view on the bridge and more section-part are in the WS's attached.

Hello Ike,
It is rather unusual to see a close-up on this bridge. I like this composition, which gives a flavour for the lively atmosphere with the crowds on the right and allows us to see the architecture in detail. A pleasing blend of tones with good sharpness.

Are those houses with people living on them on the bridge? Very interesting concept. But them I've seen worse situation in my home country of the Philippines. People will adopt. Nice capture though. Great pov and dof. Well done, tfs.

ciao Ike,
mi piace questo taglio stretto e l'immagine ricca di luce per come la presenti.
Tanto fiori alle finestre e turisti affacciati dal ponte a vedere l'Arno scorrere,
buona serata

Hi Ike,
I love very much cutting this photo. You have been able to give an original aspect to this bridge photographed billion times and to focus attention on interesting details, such as the wooden beams that support the part of the building structure or the boat hidden in the shade. The sharpness is fantastic. Only a slight overexposure that maybe you could fix in PP. A very nice picture. This version is my favorite.

Hello Ike,

Houses on the bridge? Unbelievable. I like this shot for its sharpness, colors and pov. Nice capture of the people. Great details. Very impressive shot.

Ciao Ike, great POV on fantastic bridge, excellent clarity, splendid light and colors, very well done, my friend, ciao Silvio

The point of view is showing with precision the details and colors of the architecture of the buildings on the famous bridge of Florence. The afternoon light is bringing out the colors. Have a nice day.

Excellent composition from this famous bridge in Florence. The boat under the arch is really a bonus. Nice light.
I stayed near this bridge so I went though it many times. Thanks for memoies.

Hello Ike,
Nice partial view of the Ponte Vecchio.
I like the framing you've done, the nice and soft colors, sharpness and detail.
The two WS are also very interesting.

Hi Ike
Une belle approche du pont pour encore mieux en apprécier les détails de sa construction particulière qui ne manque pas de charme, très jolie présentation
Belle journée

Hello Ike,

A very efficience framing to this famous and beautiful bridge. I like differnst details of your composition: the lonely small boat on the left, the yellow and the flowers of a house which arise well, the many peoples which give life...
Best regards,

Thanks dear Ike
Your 18x zoom lens did miracles: What a sharp resolution, especially visible on windows, and overall depiction that shows incredible details under the bridge!
The subjet itself is most admirable, so adorned of the yellow well-decorated shed.

Hi Ike
i beleive this is one of the more famous bridges in all of Italy...yes? shown here on TE many times?
but i think most of the photo's are a wide angle view, here we see more detials, more smaller details with the window shutters and even plants.
lots of textures and items for viewing to please the eyes.

Ike greetings. A very beautiful detail of this famous bridge, very good compound and executed, technically very well. A great shot and excellent work, congratulation. Have a good night and a happy week, thanks for sharing.

Best regards, Angel.

Hello Ike,
We don't see that often partial views of this famous bridge. A pity! Here we get a good view of the many windows that come in all sizes. The many smaller roofs are very nice too and also that one balcony with the pink flowers.
I think you've cropped the picture well. It's good to see the arches at the right with the many pedestrians crossing the bridge.
And the small boat at the bottom left that is a nice detail.
Best regards, Paul

Hi Ike

Nice details of this iconic and historic bridge. Excellent textures and the light's been managed in difficult conditions.

Have a good Sunday, thanks for sharing

Hello Ike,

This is my fist time that I see Ponte Veccio in this manner. Tight cropping of the bridge has a strong impact on the viewer. All the details of the bridge and the houses built upon it is quite incredibly visible. People have their balconies, yet others have their windows full of flowers. It is a quite cheerful image, to me. Thank you for sharing.

Best wishes, Ike

Good morning Ike,

This closer view and tighter crop of the famous bridge feels a bit more intimate than most. I like that it shows more detail to the windows and shutters. With the bright sun washing out some of the facade, it almost appears that the centerpiece on the bridge has been isolated for color, which is what first drew my attention. There's still enough color however that the scene is displayed in a manner befitting this beautiful attraction of Firenze. it may be posted by many, but never gets old! :) Have a great week ahead.

All the best,

Hello Ike,

You're capturing well this architecture by a good composition and excellent tone/clarity, so it's interesting and impressive to see an bridge with multi-use of main function and shops. It looks like a good design when seeing wider view of WS. And, the shadow projected draws out an additional good effect.

Kind regards,

Hallo Ike,
sehr gute Präsentation und Kommentar, gut gemacht!

Wünsche dir einen schönen Tag

Hello Ike

I like the tight framing an cropping on this bridge which is quite unusual. I walked across it but wasn't really interested in the watches and expensive consumer goods on sale. Excellent sharpness and the curve of the gondola mirrors the arch of the bridge in reverse. Tfs!

Hello Ike,

This is where we so nearly met when I was on holiday after our son's wedding!

It is an amazing bridge with its plethora of jewellery shops all overhanging the river! You have given us good details of the state of the bridge and of the huge volume of people that you are likely to encounter! Maybe even other TE members ...!

Have a good day,
Bev :-)

Hello Ike,
What an interesting bridge, with buildings on it. I love that balcony with the flowers and a vine for shade.
PS. Enjoy your time away. This will give me time to catch up with replies to you.
PPS. I read a flashing headline that missile sirens went off in Tel Aviv, I hope you and your family are fine.
