The paddle-wheel, Angles-sur-l'Anglin

One view.
Other view.

The paddle-wheel powered by the Anglin river.

It is overlooked by the castle of the 12th 15th centuries which was originally an Episcopal stronghold.

ANGLES-SUR-L'ANGLIN is a french commune, located in the department of Vienne of the Poitou-Charentes area, populated of 393 Anglois in 2007, distributed out of 14.8 km², that is to say 26.6 hab/km².

The ANGLIN river valley was occupied since prehistory, of many people left the traces of their passage there.
The Germanic tribe, the ANGLES, would have been established under the reign of Charlemagne at the bank of the river, from where its name and then the name of the village, following the example of Great Britain or England, Angleterre, which they contributed to invade at the 5th century.

Angles-sur-l'Anglin, one of the most beautiful villages of France.

Bonjour Joel,
very charming composition. Great idea to use the vases with the flowers as a foreground, the barrier also adds a diagonal line which nicely divides the frame into two areas. The view behind is very pleasant with interesting architecture set against a rocky background. Very well composed, great presentation,
M

Hi Joel

A stunning composition and perfect DOF. Just beautiful.

Chris

Joel,
This is a great shot of this peaceful scene. The diagonal created by the rail in the foreground provides a good border for the shot while the flower box adds depth and interest. The angle of the shot is great allowing us to see more than one side of the building. The man in the boat is a definite plus for the scene adding a human element and a nice point of interest. The lighting and colors are great as is the photo's sharpness.
TFS,
Asa

Hello Joël,
A well framed and nicely balanced composition that makes a pleasant juxtaposition between the flower box and the mill in the background. I like the soft light and natural colours. Good sharpness.

Beautiful flowers along the fine diagonal line from the railing. There are a lot of attractive green colours in the capture of the old water mill here. The man in the boat adds a lot of interest too. A very good suite with the workshops and note.
Kind regards
Gunnar

Roger

Hello Joel!A very beautiful picture I like the flowers in the foreground, nice touch brings the old mill wheel, more houses, Excellent composition with buildings BG is a beautiful environment.Brightness, sharpness and location, as always in the right place.
Have a great day!.
Greetings.

Ciao Joel

Jean-Charles
