[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
In early October 2010 we travelled through southern Utah. On one day we climbed from approximately 4,000 feet to nearly 11,000 feet on our way to Cedar Breaks National monument. This was as a detour from Zion to Bryce. Utah state route 14 is designated the Markagaunt High Plateau scenic byway. Incredibly we travelled through the seasons as we gained height and at about 7,000 feet the autumn colours were magnificent. This photo shows some aspens taken a short distance from the highway. I recommend this road as it is very quiet and has lots of places to stop and photograph.

Allô Ann!
Magnifique photo d'automne et excellente composition. La bande d'arbres en jaune dont les feuilles tardent à tomber attire l'attention et donne un merveilleux contraste de couleurs.
Bravo!... et toutes mes amitiés,
Emilius

Wonderful composition with terrific colors and wonderful backdrop. I find the creek particularly affecting. So very nice. Congratulations, Judy

Howdy Ann,

Fine autumn scene, basic details, yellow leafed aspens, background of gray brown tree trunks.

Well done,
Ray

Hello Ann,
Great scene, the monocromatic use of yellow and brown is beautiful.

Well done,
Andrey

Fine composition, Ann, with that burst of yellow on the diagonal and the contrast with the other, monochromatic trees. Exposure is spot on too. But I do miss a little sharpness in the finer detail of the foliage leading to a slight blurring of the foreground into the background.

hello Ann,
nicely taken, beautiful scenery well seen and well presented. I would love to be there and photograph this kind of landscape, I like it very much.
best regards
Pawel

Hi there Ann - By now you have probably guessed I like landscapes and have a passion for trees! Somehow I missed this one of yours and it really deserves a crit. Two wonderful diagonal layers of warm yellow set against the soft tones of the woodland. I like the delicate handling of the subject, many would be tempted to up the saturation, you have kept the colour nicely natural. Trees are a difficult subject and here you have done well. Enjoy the weekend Rosemary

Oeiras, 9-12-13
Hello Ann
I already have drove in a mountain and the levels of height present differences of weather looking like different seasons. (It happened in Madeira island). In your picture the bleak trees have an ashen tonality while the yellows ones are so vivid. Our Earth is so harmonious in everything that exists. But the sun regulates all this beauty. At the moment I am not distinguishing what are ashes. Translating ashes to portuguese is (Álamos). A plural word. I have never been to the United Sates so far. Warm regards. Domingos
