A picture taken from canal Bruges - Sluis Netherlands at St-Kruis Bruges Belgium.
The canal had its origin at the beginning of the 19de centuries. Napoleon undertook then a attempt duinkerke and link Breskens by a canal. Local workers and Spanish captive grooves for that the Damse or also the Napoleonkanaal name. Parts of this new canal were moored in the bed of the Reie between brugge and Damme or in the old Zwin bed.

This picture I have cropped to a better composition.
The colours its really.

I hope you like it.

Splendid picture: this time above all the colors are the main feature of the photo. Those tall trees and their amazing reflections give solemnity to the canal. Peacefull place.

Hi John

Excellent sharpness, lighting, reflections, colour, pov & graphism. Not sure about the street light on the left, but that is nitpicking. Great work!

Loooooooonnnnnng line, never finishes, this angle gives a great result.
Everything is perfect here, and I'll have talk with people who would say a different opinion :-))))).
Have a nice day
Jean Michel

Lovely shot of this place John. The lighting certainly adds a lot to this one.

Encore une sacrée perspective. Les reflets sont pures, impeccable. J'aime beaucoup le rendu des couleurs. De plus la note est très inéressante. Merci John !

Bien vu, John!

Nice colors, perspective, framing and reflection.

great lines in this image super well composed John. The colors are very beautiful too/
I love the reflection in the canal.
Looks like a lovely spot where to live.

John erg goed werk.

Beautiful serrie of this canal John, interesting note, great reflexions and diagonal perspective, nice afternoon light
Regards, piotr

Hi John. I noticed several canals in your previous pics. Is this the same canal? If it is, then I must say its a very picturesque place. This one has to be one of my favorites among your photos. The reflections, colors, sharpness and trees really impressed me. This is such a very lovely place to live! Excellent work! rgds.

Very well done John!

amazing shots you are taking, well done with the never ending trees and the stream is noce too, well done

Beautiful. Beautiful. Beautiful.
What a a beautiful shot. Clear water. Clear sky. You should take up a job in Belgium Tourism department. I may come visit Belgium one day and it will be largely thanks to you, Fred Lion and the rest of the Belgium guys on TE. :-)
Thank you for sharing.

Well, if that's not a classical jhm composition, I don't think I ever saw one ;-) Again an amazing perspective with the trees reflected in the canal, and the streetlamp at the left being a fun add. Colors and light are great. I would have cropped it a little more on the left, but still keeping the lamp. Nice shot. Greetings from London.

Okay John...you really proved that you are one of the few good landscape people here in TE. It is definitely an excellent photo. Good compo. I would crop it tighter on top.

Another fine composition with an excellent perspective. The light was on your side in this shot, I would say :o). Beautiful colors and details.

Beautiful image. Great light and colors. Intresting lines and like the reflection in the water, very well composed. Great woork.

Hi John, despite end of november still nice days and great light in Belgium, offering you the conditions to present us another one of your magical cancal reflection photos, full of depth, full of light, full of colors, excellent !

Nice peacefull place, it must be very relaxing to have such a view at home. The water is so still, reflections are so neat and shining. The perspective is impressive and well placed. The red roof is lively. More than anything else the light is wonderfull : the sun is low bringing soft light on everything and you managed to build a picture with almost no visible shadows.

Great light John, in this excellent composition. To catch the line of trees and their reflection framed by the house on the left, and the trees on the right is very well calculated. I think the lamp post helps to balance the composition also. Lovely colour and sharpness.

Well, the house is less romantic than the old mill, but the two rows of trees are the eye-catcher here. And a fantastic reflection in that very blue canal. And of course the slanted sunlight does the rest. Careful you don't fall in from seeking the best POV.

I like the horizomtal symetry and the perfect reflection. Light is magic, and an excellent POV. I think that I can recognise your shot without raeding your name, this is typically yours, and a very good shot, John.

Again nice elements here, great diagonal and reflection, beautiful line in the water, excellent colors and sharpness, well done.

When I think you have shown us the canals and paths in the most spectacular way you come up with another image to top it. This one is just amazing. The perspective, the water, the paths, the lines of trees, the buildings. It is all so sharp and clear. Beautiful colors. Everything brings the eye into this photo and gives it space and dimension. Impressive!

it's excellent and very beautiful,John,I think it's difficult sometimes for critique some shots with some simple words,no doubt,it's perfect with your sign(perspective)in a great way in this one,...the colors are amazing and have a great combination and pleasance for eyes, calm, peaceful and lovely, too.

Yes,it's my favorite
Congratulation for this admirable result,John.

Again, this one goes to my favourites, John!
The lines and colours, beautiful, but the most of all, is the wonderful sunlight in this picture, nice, very nice, I think, you're proud on this one !

John, I am jalous! Beautiful picture all the way, every thing is perfect: colors, reflection, perspective, ...
Best regards

Ola John!!!

I love when photographers are fortunate enough to view a body of water that is calm like glass. It makes for the most beautiful photos. In this one, the colors, lighting and composition make it so interesting. I like it very much.

Hi John,

A good POV of the house, of the canal, of the trees and of the reflections in the water, the photo has a very good composition, DOF and nice colors. Have a nice day.
