He travelled much and had an important influence in Europe, where he supported the accession to the throne of Hugues Capet, (born towards 940, dead on October 24th, king of the Francs from 987 to 996), became archbishop of Rheims then of Ravenne, and became pope into 999 thanks to the support of its pupil and friend the Germanic emperor Otton III.

Bonjour Joël,
as always - very interesting photos in the Workshop, interesting information about the place!
COmposition-wise, very good, too! (though maybe I might crop 1-1,5cm on the left and add the same on the right... but.. that's just my opinion)
Excellent light management, lovely soft natural colours :)

Your photos, in combination with your Notes to photos, can become a textbook of History! do you happen to be a fan of History? I used to be... until linguistics "outweighed"!
Warmest greetings from Moscow,
and wishes of a nice Sunday!
Elena

Bonjour joel ,
Amicalement

Hello Joël,
A fine composition of this splendid church and the equally splendid old tree; makes for a well balanced image. The shadow play across the foreground grass provides an additional point of interest. Very good natural looking colours and and sharpness and good stitch work. Bravo!

Bon dimanche.

Hallo Joel!
Here I like the composition very much! this huge tree is a wonderful counterpoint to the church and creates an excellent balance. This must be a worth-visiting place - and a special one, considering all this history. Again a contribution in terms of TE!
Greetings from wet and grey Germany!
Frank

Joel,
This is a great shot of this stone church which is well framed by the trees. The lighting and colors are great and the photo has nice sharpness. The off center placement of the church works well with the tree providing balance for the building.

Asa

Hi Joel,
this is a real surprise, we may discover one of the important details of the Hungarian (Magyar) history. We may read a very interesting note from Szent István (Saint Etienne), he was the first crowned king of the country, he led the conversion of pagan Magyars to Christianity. István took power in 997 and according to tradition he was crowned king in the year 1000. His coronation was held with the approval of Emperor Otto III, and a crown was sent to Hungary by Pope Sylvester II. This is a very interesting photo with splendid note, very well balanced composition. The colours and lights are very nice. Beautiful work. Thank you for sharing!
