A picture taken yesterday from edge of canal Middelburg Belgium in the late afternoon, it has rained almost the entire day, and was still see a little foggy, also on the photograph in the background. Beautiful place for angler, all sort river fish.
History:
Middelburg it's little village correct on the frontier with Holland. Documentary; Middelburg was built between 1452 and 1465 on instruction of Pieter Bladelin, governor of finance of Filips the Good and treasurer of the order of the Golden Fleece. There used to be (amongst other buildings) a church, a convent, a hospital, walls, a canal to the Lieve (canal Ghent-Damme) and a castle. From 1465 on, a free anual market took place. After the destruction of Dinant by Charles the Temerary, Bladelin brought several craftsmen to his new town. Due to these artisans, Middelburg was granted privileges by Edward IV, king of England, after which also a textile industry was set up. After the dead of Pieter Bladelin, his widow (Margareta de Vageviere) was allowed by Charles the Temerary to rule over the town.

This foto I have cropped to a better composition, but the colours are real.

I hope you like it.

Even the cold and the autumnal atmosphere, those tall trees that help the eye to follow the sweet curve of canal give you a sense of protection and calm.
Another good composition of this JHM AUTUMNAL SERIE. The soft mist in background on the left is an important addiction.

John mijn welgemeende complimenten.Uitstekend werk

A great atmospheric and moody land scape John. I love the repeated curved lines of the river, shore and trees...The perspective is really very powerful...A great composition.

I like the curves in this, & the moody atmosphere, together with the reflections. Great work!

A beautiful landscape John. You seem to always manage to find the right spot, and most important the right light to give us those moody shots.
Well done.

Bien vu!

These tall trees help in giving a grat perspective.
Very poetic composition for a canal that was the earth of economical system and maybe over crowded in the old times...
Compliments

The winter cycle starts to settle. The landscape is also beautiful in this misty environment. The curve of the canal is located on a strong point. That gives me the idea to visit the edge of the canals of my area.

...en de cirkel is bijna rond....
Great perspective of the two lines of trees, wonderful softness, beautiful picture, John!

Nice perspective and atmosphere

great work here, very good mist and also the lay out of the trees are nice too, very spooky, good row of trees and bending too

Nice point of view John, I like the curve thisa tyme created by the threes and river, excellent mood, well done.

I like how in this one the fog is very subtle, yet clearly present to contribute to a slightly milky, typically autumn-like appearance towards the background. Great perspective with the trees precisely lined up along the bend of the canal. Very natural feel of the way in which the light and colors are rendered. Well done, John.

A differnt angle---well-composed. The bend of the canal, the repetition of the tree trunks...they are engaging.

One could say this is a typical John - Shot. Very well done with excellent use of landmarks as compositional elements. Nice how you managed to show the slight mist that made out this day. Well done.

Yes, I like it, John. A very typically yours, but getting better and better every time. A very clean, sharp, well lit and composed photo. Very well done.

Fantastic. I could also be a dutch landscape. But the lowlands have a lot in commen.

Very exellent compositon. Very sharp. Great picture.

Splendid composition, capture the november mood so vell, good light and contrast, very fine curve in photo.

Beautiful............Regards Kaj Nielsen

Another well captured scene from your beatiful kanals John. Nice lead of the curved kanal, the mood well presented.

Very good photo, John; I like the curvature formed by the agglomerate of trees along the canal, as I also like that fog in the background. It is a very nice atmosphere for me, John, I liked it!

Really a wonderful and amazing perspective, very well seen,I'm sure you are a master in this matter,Congratulation,John.

Oh very wonderful view - I like that hazy look which gives us a feeling of whatching a paintwork - The curved line of channel very photogen in fact - great place your picked for this shot.
Thanks John.

This definitely is a great shot.
The depth the fog and the color create a very emotive image.
Very well done

Beautiful shot John! The atmosphere is very special with the combination of fog and the curved perspective. The alined tress accentuates the perspective created by the river.

An excellent composition with a lot of interesting elements.

Mooi gedaan.

I'm speechless. Stunning.

Hi John,

A good POV of the canal, of the trees and of the reflections in the water, the photo has a good composition, DOF and nice colors. Have a nice day.

Pierre

Good evening John,
A canal with a curve, for a change: no strait lines of trees, rather with juxtaposition on the bent.
Lovely picture, under mild light, the mist notable through the trees.
Regards,
Ike

Hello John,
I love the mist and the curvature. Beautiful place, beautiful photo!

MT
