I do not know what to post :(. What will be interesting? I have changed my mind several times today. Finally, this red bridge won. I do not know where it was. Somewhere on the way from National Park to Auckland. I like bridges, maybe you will like it too.

TE slowly but steadily fades away. In January there were 81 pages, then 74, 74, 70, 71 and in June only 64 pages. It means around 38 pictures in the day.

Kari wrote that it is Makatote Viaduct. I made my picture of course from the bus window. In fact, I was there twice. The first time, I just saw it, later I managed to take this photo.

The Makatote Viaduct (Bridge 179) takes the North Island Main Trunk railway (NIMT) across the Makatote River. It is 335.7 km from Wellington, at the foot of Ruapehu, in northern Manawatu-Wanganui (central North Island), between National Park and Ohakune.

It was built between 1905 and 1908.
When built it was tallest, and is now the third tallest, viaduct in New Zealand, the higher ones being the 1981 North Rangitikei 81 metres, further south on the NIMT, and 1937 Mohaka viaduct 95 metres , on the Gisborne line.

Thank you, Kari. ,

Dear Malgo,

The red bridge creates a good counter-point with the blue-sky.

Best Wishes,
Gy

Hello Malgo,
You never shall have problems in finding photographic themes !
Another perfect obeservation and nice capture in your gallery taken with good pov and sharpness.
The red railway bridge creates a nice effect in this compo.
TFS and best regards
MESUT ILGIM

Good evening Malgo,
Football maybe the main reason for the site to be less in the center of matter, but in the numbers you are definitely right.
The bridge picture is nicely horizontally cropped, emphasis upon the main subject, the red bridge. looks as a RR tracks bridge.
Have a nice weekend,
Ike

Hello Malgo,
If you ever wonder what to post I think you still have lots of photos from India. ;-) Meanwhile the contrasts between this bright red bridge and the dark blue sky make this a very eye-catching photo.
I recently estimated that 10 years ago it would normally take about 15 minutes to fill a page of 18 photos. Today it could take 15 hours. Yes, the site is slowing down a lot. On the other hand we have been saying already for several years that TE is dying, but somehow it is still alive.
Kind regards,
Gert

Hi Malgo,

The length of the bridge is creating depth. The point of view is showing the details of the structure of the bridge. The sharpness is very good. Have a nice day.

Cześć Malgo
Świetny kontrast czerwieni mostu i błękitnego nieba.
A teraz jeszcze tendencja malejąca.

Philippe

Hi Malgo,
Good colors contrast between red and blue, well presented this bridge, good format and sharpness, tfs.

About participation on TE, we can see that it is decreasing ... but with these statistics, it's even more precise ! Well, there are still regular members and actors ... but who will be the last?
Before, as there were so many photos published, it was difficult to see everything daily, now it's easier lol
Moreover, I find it unfortunate that many very regular participants do not take the time to post some comments or criticisms in order to make the site "live" with some exchanges and to give a little more conviviality to their participation ... so, of course, everyone does as he wishes.

Hello Malgo,
The red bridge looks superb against the intense blue sky. The main struts add a fine touch of graphism to the composition. Much more interesting than concrete ones.

TE is indeed on a slow decline though we should remember that June is the start of the holiday season when many members go away to gather new material for posting later in the year.

To answer your last question, I have many more pictures from Toulouse including from the places you mention. I just though it was time to post some more recent images. Hope you can enjoy them.

Czesc Malgosiu
Fajne kolory i kompozycja wzdluz przekatnej.
38 to wciaz wiecej niz 20 dozwolonych codziennych usmiechow... Zartuje, tez widze, ze coraz mniej zdjeci i troche mnie to martwi.
Pozdrawiam serdecznie
Kasia

Ryszard

Hi, Malgo.
Your problem should be that you make so many trips and you should have so many pictures, that you do not know why to decide, it's like when you open the closet and you have too many dresses.
Interesting this long metal bridge, which by its structure must have at least one hundred years.
Excellent POV, good lighting, color and sharpness.
Enjoy a happy Sunday.
Very best regards.
Luis.

Hi Malgo
i think all of us regular TE members can share your indecision. I actually felt the same way this morning before posting my new photo.

I havn't gone through all of my Croatia photos yet, only about 200 of the 2500. So there's limited photos to pick from still.

and yes, you're right, the TE gallery page seems to take so long to move onto page 2 for the day. Lets try to keep the site alive!

interesting bridge, it looks like a commuter train bridge, like the famous one in Porto. Light rail train.
anyways, bright colours, another funky bridge for you, nothing wrong with that
cheers
Craig

Hello Malgo

Striking warm cold colour contrasts between the blue sky & the red bridge. Good sharpness & a nice angled pov offering excellent perspective. Good repetition of patterns & shapes. Tfs!

Hi Malgo,
That bridge looks familiar. It is Makatote Viaduct west of Mt. Ruapehu at coordinates -39.264830, 175.389591.
Quite beautiful and slim looking long viaduct. I guess you took this through the bus window, without chance to choose the foreground.
I see it has been painted red since I was there in 2004. In fact it is still grey in Wikipedia page, showing picture from 2013.
Kari

Angel.

malgo

in fact the shapes and colors of this viaduct make it an interesting subject for photos and in special the contrast with the blue sky.
yes, we lost many members, most people is hunting new things to do.

take care

jorge

Ciao Malgo
Saluti
Carlo
