Starry Starry Night

This looks a bit like Van Gogh gone crazy ;-). The lines and colours created by the stars during an hour are quite incredible, but the solid black rock tells us we all stay where we are. I bet you had time for dinner and a glass of wine while the camera was working. It's a wonderful view, whichever way you spent your time.

Uau, que foto fantástica! Essa foto parece na verdade ser uma pintura, com todas as linhas com cores de tons similares e criando até uma certa textura.

An excellent psicodelic image for me,
Huge Uluru is dust in the universe now..so i am iota in the dust...

Ciao cara Lisa
Nice to see an upload from you after a break. And what a wonderful image it is. Great technique, the sky looks truly amazing. I like the way you placed Uluru in the frame, off-centre to leave space for the start trails but visible enough for the viewer to realise the photo was taken in that iconic location.
Brings back memories from my trip last year...
Best wishes and greetings from Finland

What an amazing view of the many stars, creating such beautiful patterns, lines and curves in the sky here. Their different tones are very appealing too, I see a great variety in shades of blue, grey, some yellow and white. Uluru makes a great silhouette too.

A magical shot & visual stunner - that's one busy star trails to the max!
It's a fascinating 60 mins magic, you are very lucky to have skies that clear and it really gives you the sense of the earth's movement with superb circular effect in that sky! This must be one of the most outstanding star trails I have ever seen that you certainly chose the right vantage point, and have left in just the right amount of foreground.
Very creative and a lot of time taken to get this image to look like this, I have yet to try out. I admire your dedication, patience and skill to achieve a highly original image. One hell of an effort for one hell of a final result!!!

Grand coup de coeur pour cette prise de vue.
Les mots sont inutiles, tout est dit à travers la composition.

I almost removed this photo for "copyright"! :) I thought you stole it from Vincent! ;)
Very unusual and well achieved photo, I would say: fascinating image!

Fantastic ! So lovely result, impressive photo very well managed, tfs and congratulations.
I'm in awe. I'm going to have to try this again myself: my only effort to date was a failure. Superb effect and quite beautiful result. Especially with Uluru in silhouette. Can you tell us what aperture you were using?

Hello dear Lisa,
Astro photography tour to Uluru - wow, it sounds terrific. And the picture is fantastic, no words for it. Where could be sky so dark . Crux is probably farther right. Your note reminds me my night under stars in Red Center. What memories... There is a straight line above Uluru - what it can be?
(HAha, I was an astronomy teacher many years ago...)

Ciao Cara Lisa,
This is just an amazing photograph.
It makes me realise how small we are in comparison with what's out there!
It's almost as if the Earth is scraping the Heavens with its movement!
Have you ever grained a door, where you use a fine comb on wet varnish?
It gives a similar effect!
Good to see you back and thanks for sharing this,

Voici un ciel qui me parle beaucoup. On peut presque dire qu'il chante et qu'il danse à la fois.J'aime que les lignes ne soient pas concentriques mais qu'elles soient un peu folles. Superbe technique.

So attractive because they are not concentrical, it looks as a giant magnet with some iron parts.

Stunning landscape with the stair-trails. I used to shoot them too, but its to complicated to find a suitable date, when I have free time too. I admire your shots now, instead.

This is great! You are very skilled at capturing the stars. I love the trails made by the stars, and the dark section on the bottom of the frame. The exposure is perfect, and so is the presentation. What a magical sight...

Magnificent result of this great idea to use this time-lap of more than an hour. The result is astonishing and surprising at first sight but well-explainable if you think about it. Thank you for your patience to wait so long for this result.
Have a nice day. Groet Rob
