Another view from the Wailing Wall in Jerusalem.

Jerusalem is again at the center of World politics.
I have been there only once in the year 1988.

This entry and all others coming next are been scanned from Ektachrome 35 mm slides.

Hello Mesut,

Politic and peace are no friends, money, weapons, and force are the real ingredients for war.
Why remain everyone not in his own country, and life in quiet and peace.
Very well done, TFS.

Kindest regards,

Hello dear Mesut and have a nice time
and a happy new day
interesting capture like a picture
taken from the Waiting wALL in

Love these images from the wall. I wonder who cleans out the notes after a while? Awesome contrast in this image to bring that drama.

Dear Mesut!
Fine scene, fine men, superb poses.
Amazing place, fantastic background.
Perfect shot.
Good quality.
Sophisticated effect.
Original work, very fine.
Well done!

Bonjour Mesut,

Une très belle photo sortie de tes archives. Je suis sur que si on y retourne aujourd'hui, on verrait la même chose avec les mêmes vêtements noirs et la même coupe de cheveux.

Dear Mesut,

So you keep digging up your archives. Its another brilliant one from it. I really like that there is not many distraction around the men.

Best Wishes,

Merhaba Mesut,

Another fine example from your scanned archive.
It is simple in its context yet reveals much about these religious individuals.
The limited colour palette serves to emphasise the style of the figures.
A nice composition.

My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Hello Mesut,

Not only Gert has old photos in good quality. Beautiful picture from your trip to Jerusalem thirty years ago (haha, 08.08.1988 interesting day). Famous scene with the wishes in the scraps of paper put in the wall. I was a few years later but that time I made videa, that I do not watch anymore :(.

Kind regrad s MAlgo

Bonjour, cher ami Mesut,
Cette image semble tout à fait représentative du mur des lamentations.
Une composition naturelle très appréciée.
Une image d'archive bienvenue.

Wonderfully captured scene, a great and timeless document.

Hi Mesut

A perfect summarize of Jerusalem with the 2 men praying in front of the wall well cropped

Hello Mesut,
A beautiful typical shot of the Wailing Wall and the Jewish believers.
A nice close-up.
Best regards, Paul

Ciao Mesut, classic and beautiful scene, excellent clarity, fine details and splendid light, very well done, my friend, ciao Silvio

Classical shot and scene of old Jerusalem. Those ultra-orthodox Jews make a fine photographic subject.
Best regards,

Hi Mesut,
I am so jealous, this is probably the most interesting place for everyone who was raised up in a Christian culture. And this is probably the most important place to see: the ruins of the old temple. You have captured it perfectly with the people in traditional clothes.
Great reportage, good quality scan.
I hope to visit this amazing place someday in the future,
