Jesus choose Cafarnaum as your home after abandon Nazareth. Here we can see the ruins around the house of Peter. The modern church ahead protect the ruins of a byzantine church that protected the home of Peter, where Jesus lived. OK. This is part of tradition, no real evidences. Anyway scholars found evidences the house was transformed in a place for pray before the existence of the byzantine church. The house is located few meters far from the Galilea Sea, located in the other side of the church. Behind me it was the synagogue where Jesus did His speeches.
.......................

Hello Jorge,
Lovely view over the ruins of the place. The contrast with the much more modern building in the background is striking and the trees provide some fine splashes of green among the grey tones of the rocks.

Hello Jorge,

As I see you have some doubts if in these places Jesus really was. I had these doubts too. Interesting view of the ruins, the modern construction maybe protects, but spoils the view.

Kind regrads MAlgo

Hello Jorge,
Whoever lived here and whatever these ruins were part of we can no doubt be sure that they are very old. As such they are interesting regardless of their history. The contrast with the modern building next to it is quite stunning.
Kind regards,
Gert

Hello Jorge,

Quite a stark contrast between the futuristic looking observation building and its enclosed terrace, and the over 2000 year old ruins below. Good sharpness and well composed with the diagonal stone wall commencing in the bottom left corner and adding lead in lines and perspective. Tfs!

Hello Jorge,
Yes, I remember this modern church that looks like a flying saucer landed on these ruins. Did you go inside?
