This is a place where it is told Jesus was baptized, in the other side of the river we have Jordanian territory.
There was a soldier of that country few meters at my left, not visible here.
You can see the borderline in that fence in front where pilgrims are.
This place is told to be the first Jew people stepped when they came from Egypt and it is told Elias was told to sky from here.
This is the lower river of the world.

Hi Jorge
Christian baptism in Holy Jordan river! thks to your description - must be a popular pilgrimage site to experience the spirituality and pastoral beauty of the waters. I love the softness of the tones in this image, and it's a fine composition with the people forming a frame to that view. Nice shot, Congrats
Best regards

Hi Jorge,
Well photographed this scene with people and the Jordan river, nice soft light, perfect for this view.

Bonjour, cher Jorge,
Félicitations pour cette prise de vue (très rare, je crois bien que c'est la première fois que je la vois).
De plus, les personnages donnent plus de force à la composition.

Witaj Jorge!
Very curious place, interesting scene from daily life.
Good POV, colors and light.
Well done.
Warm regards.

Hello Jorge,
This water looks very unhealthy so the believers should take care not to swallow any water. It is an odd view from a very unstable part of the world but the oddity makes it an interesting photo.
Kind regards,

Ciao Jorge, great view of beautiful river, excellent perspective, woderful natural colors and splendid light, very well done, my friend, ciao Silvio

Hi Jorge

I drove past the turnoff to the Jordanian side on my way to and from the Dead Sea in Jordan. An interesting post of one of the first if not the first baptism sites. Good lighting, sharpness and framing. Tfs!

Hello Jorge
Interesting scene of this historical place. Fascinating construction to enter the Joran river and also with these three women in their white clothes.
Excellent work
Groet Rob

Ola Jorge!

This is certainly a good way to depict that the really important things are invisible to the eye, but visible to man's heart, as Antoine de Saint-Exupéry put it into words.
A small river, or a better creek, but with a name towering over centuries, and a border, first to dive in and then to cross and leave many burdens behind you (but not here and not over this tiny fence).

Thanks for sharing!

Hello Jorge,
Thank you so much for this photo. We were scheduled to see this place, but when out tour bus approached the gate, it was closed. The Pope was going to visit Israel and he was going to come from Jordan, so they had sealed the whole border for security. We took a detour to Jericho instead. Now I get to see what I couldn't see three years ago, TFS!
