At first glance the composition looks like it is lacking a little in contrast, however the longer you look the more that the image 'grows' on you, the figure to the left gives scale and interest - as do the low lying clouds, the whole image is quite subtle and in my opinion is very well conceived and carried out.
Hi Paul, I like this photo and think it works well being black and white. The person in the foreground definitely adds scale to the shot and the sky is tremendous, with the clouds bearing down and looking like you could almost jump up and touch them.
I agree with Stephen, I would have added contrast. However, apart from this point, I was immediately touched by the feelings brought by the pic.
It makes me think about one of our great French poets, Chateaubriand, who was represented like that, the hair floating in the wind, looking far away over the sea.

i agree with eza1701, the person really does give a sense of scale and i like the way you have captured the sky with out loosing detail in the foreground

The textures are really nice here and the calmness nice with a nice sense of space and scale thanks to the human element
