roadside religious art from Dutch Limburg

---

The sign below translates as "My Jesus Mercy". The cross is like a big wooden arrow pointing upwards. With purple flowers and the rolling Limburg landscape in the background.

Mercy, mercy me...

Hello Benny,
Nice capture of this religious art with nice bright colors and perfect sharpness.
Nice thick framing.
TFS and best regards

HI Benny.

Yes, we all need more road crosses and much more mercy, for the somewhat peaceful world we know from our childhood disapears in front of our bare eyes. A beautiful and meaningful image of the Crucifix suŕrounded by the marvelous creation in form of the nature.

Thanks for sharing!!!

Hello Benny, Lovely composition. Nice simple road chapel, attractive with the rhododendron and the wreath of flowers. Beautiful landscape. Excellent strong colours.

Kind regards MAlgo

Hello Benny,
I like the intense colours of the flowers and the fields and trees in the background. Even being totally indifferent to religion generally I can't remain totally indifferent to the faith expressed in a little monument like this. In case you ever wondered what "mijn Jesus barmhartigheid" would be in Swedish (I bet you didn't) it's "min Jesus barmhärtighet". So similar! However, you would never find anything similar to this beside a Swedish road. Never.
Best regards,
Gert

Hi Benny
This looks like a typical of roadside shrines we used to see on TE. It jumps out with good contrasting properties and the way you have composed the scene with good detail all round. The framing suits the subject matter really well, Congrats
Best regards

Bonjour Benny

Bedankt.

Prettige avond,
John
