Dear John, in general a good photo, I would crop a little off the bottom and try not to center the mill so much.

Here in Santa Catarina state, Brazil, many water-mills are abandoned, unhappily... The colors are cold, but the compositions gave me a good impression. I like this theme...

Hi John:
I like the mill and the composition. To me, this picture represents the old time in this beautiful country. Well Done!!

john,
great capture of this old water mill. i like the photos wher you are going out of your way to captuer something different and present it with fact of life.
good color and dof makes it possible to explore all the little details.

Hi John,

The different type of lines and geometric shapes are assets to the composition. The trees are framing well the mill. The point of view is showing the details and colors of the architecture of the building. The light is enhancing the colors. Have a nice day.

Well, traditionally Germany was a country of engineers and machine builders...
thanks for show us it...

Nice capture!

Good morning John,
The composition gave the big-wheel a mid-picture position, and it is the main subject.
I also look at the contrast (which I value as an importent factor), created with the white wooden facae, plant-pot on it's roof - and how it mingle within the verdant surrounding's.
Lovely, and plesent sight.
Enjoy a nice weekend,
Ike

Hi John !!
what an interesting collections of photos you have...... I just found this one.....
the flowing water is long gone and the Mill is just waiting for more visitors like you.
I see nothing wrong with the composition !!!
Cheers from Australia

Hello, John,
Excellent photo from your top list of 2003. When I see the nicknames of the Trekkers from 2004-2005 I see that they left this community. And they even gave you advices and recommendations ;)
Best wishes,
Serghei

Hello John,
But, where's the water? Nice little corner, taken over 10 years ago, this is starting to be a historic photo.

MT
