Good Morning Everyone,

I must apologise for not having responded for a few days but I have been away helping a friend and, yesterday, was our village's big agricultural show! Everything stops for that!!

I promised my next post would show a train in that impressive, honeycombed structure that is Cologne Station. Most of the trains were red, great for colour vibrancy. Besides showing the train, I have tried to include the context of the station, which I found so delightfully photographable!

I will add another shot, as a w/s here , to show a closer view of the train, for enthusiasts but, for me, it was secondary to the station.

For details of Cologne Station, please see my last post.

I wish you a lovely day, Bev :-)

Hi Beverley,
Nice architecture for this railstation, interesting depth and persqpective, perfect the detail and the colors contrast with the red train.

Bonjour, Bev,
Les gares évoquent souvent le départ ou l'arrivée entraînant bonheur ou inversement.
La présentation générale est excellente.
Très bonne journée.
Amitiés.
Philippe

Exquisite play with shadows, beverly, his time with the red addition of the lokomotive. By itself contrast well onto the brown/grey iron structure and also gave good dynamic scale on.
DOF and clarity were immaculate.
My cong.'s,
Ike

Hello Bev,
The red locomotive makes an eye-catching and unmissable focal point. I like the point of view looking obliquely across the platforms and taking full advantage of the graphism offered by the roof lattice work. Light, colours and clarity are all very pleasing to the eye. Thanks for the sharing.

Hello Bev,
beautifully composed with fine use of the verticals with the tracks actually leading into the frame, the graphic honeycombe is perfectly exposed and pin sharp, with the red train slap bang on a third it`s a fine piece of photography.
Lovely shot.
Best regards
Les.

Nice view of the station and the archtecture.Good clarity and composition.

Regards
Prasenjit

Bonjour Beverly,

Il semble bien petit ce train à l'intérieur de cette immense gare ou la lumière rentre à plein par la verrière du toit. Les rails apportent une belle impression de profondeur.

Amicalement

Hi Bev
another fascinating shot of this German station. Love the symmetry and inviting composition, plus the red train adds that little splash of colour to add interest and scale. Seems amazingly un-busy!

Have a good week - Brian.

Hello Bev,
Well done on the red train as it certainly adds a punch of colour to the steely, grey station. There is a lovely web of metal and shadows that has made an excellent composition. Lovely detail and a good lead in along the rails.
Kind Regards, Ann

Hi Beverley,
Quite special canopy structure which combines arches with squares. This station is also rare in the sense that platforms are on a curve. Sunshine adds good contrast. I'm surprised that there aren't more trains there at the moment.

Hello Bev,

Railway stations remain an excellent subject, these is totally new after WAR II.
Nice iron construction but also the curve of the rails make these picture attractive, also your second picture is an excellent addition.
Technical perfect, your angle choice excellent.
Depth and perspective excellent done.
Very well done, TFS.

Warmest regards,
John

Hi Bev
gotta love train stations right!
that red train is so important for the scene, its a key focal point, my eyes were totally drawn right to it.
love the honeycomb look at the top and the casting shadows.
awesome place to take shots!
cheers
craig

Hello Beverley
This is a superb railway shot. The graphism in the roof is gorgeous and the red locomotive stands out beautifully in this almost monochrome composition. The pleasing play of sun and shadow add a further great interest to the photo.
have a great day
Daniel

Hi Bev,
A very eye-catching train, looks like those local trains we saw in Ahrtal this summer. The platforms look very deserted, but this actually improves the picture, a clean composition.
Kind regards
Gunnar

Hello Bev

I like this - well composed with the lines placed in the corner. The red train adds the focal point of interest. I wonder what all those textures and lines would look like in black and white with the red of the train popped.
