The VCUB (V3) service provides the residence of Bordeaux a simple and effective way to get around town. There are 1545 bicycles and 139 stations throughout the city and surrounding areas.

The way it works is that you pick up a bike at the station of your choice and return it to which ever station is the closest to you. Each station is equipped with a information terminal (English available), where you enter in a code given to you when you register and pay for the bike. Not every terminal has credit card capabilities, so you'll need to find one that does before you register your details.

You register your account by using your credit car, the network takes a deposit of €200 straight up which is charged if the bike is stolen or lost. Then your credit card is debited a €2 per hour until you return the bike to a station (first 30mins are free).

Bonjour Claude,

Magnifique point de vue sur ce site de location de vélos. Il y en a de plus en plus , partout dans le monde.Beau cadrage qui offre un bel effet de profondeur.

Amicalement

Serge

Hello Claude,
The cobblestones and the bikes create fine patterns with a nice rhythm. With this perspective from above it would have been a good composition even without the lady, but of course a person never harms a photo like this. Well spotted and nicely cropped.
Best regards,
Gert

Hello Claude,

This is delightful!
The downwards view reveals the patterns of the cobbles beneath the pattern of the cycles.
The single cyclist makes a fine focal point and animates the scene.
We cannot quite decide whether she is taking or returning a cycle!

My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Hello dear Claude and have a nice time

Salut Claude
Brilliant angle and crop to make the most of the shapes: lots of circles on mini rectangles of the cobbled street.
Best wishes
Kasia

Hi Claude
Terrific bike domination, no cars and no pollution. There must be an App for finding your bike, I think. Wonderful framing using the elevated pov certainly increases the impact!

Fascinating facts too, Happy safe riding gal........
Congrats
Best regards

Salut Claude,
Un bon PDV sur cet alignement de vélos, bien la vue d'une personne, bonne netteté et exposition pour le rendu.

Hello Claude,
I have seen these type of enterprises all over the place; I've seen them in Istanbul, in Pittsburgh among other places. I like the repeating patterns of the bikes on the patterns of the cobblestone pavement. The woman about to rent one adds a sense of moment. 👍👍
Regards,
MT
