Commarque, Les Eyzies-de-Tayac-Sireuil

One view.
Other view.

The Commarque castle of the 12th 14th 15th centuries, in Les Eyzies-de-Tayac-Sireuil, quoted on 1255. Registered on historic monuments since 1943. Private property.

Before the construction of the castrum and of the Commarque castle, on the territory of the municipality of Les Eyzies-de-Tayac-Sireuil in the Beune valley, the site was occupied by farmers who lived in semi-troglodytic houses.

The site was already occupied in time prehistoric. Under of Commarque castle exists an inaccesible cave to the public, who shelters a life-size horse magnificently engraved by the Magdalenian, the horse of Commarque.

The Commarque castle history.

LES EYZIES-DE-TAYAC-SIREUIL is a french municipality, located in the department of the Dordogne of the Aquitaine region, populated 857 Eyzicois en 2007, distributed out of 37.4 km², that is to say 22.9 hab/km².

In the "Périgord noir", the site of Les Eyzies-de-Tayac-Sireuil is lived since the Palaeolithic. During several tens of thousand years, the men succeeded one another in the calcareous shelters of the valley of the Vézère, named "the Valley of the Man", because of the important prehistoric sites which are there.
The prehistoric sites of the Vézère valley are classified in the World heritage by Unesco as "prehistoric sites and caves decorated in the valley of Vézère".

Both picture in WS are pleasant for look at.
A pity that this lovely castle is almost a ruin, yet a very nice place and great castle.
Sharpness and clarity are of high quality.
Also a very nice subject with the castle wall in nature stone built.
You create nice depth and perspective.
Very well done, TFS.

Have a nice weekend,
John.

Hello Joël,
A splendid capture of this impressive castle surrounded by greenery. The point of view is well chosen to show us the mighty architecture to good effect. Very good rendering of the tones and textures.

Cordialement.

Hi Joël,
This impressive old castle makes a very good diagonal from this view. Perfect colours and the usual very interesting note and WS:s.
Kind regards
Gunnar

Bonjour Joel,
pity that it's ruin. Good presentation of Commarque castle. I like the complementary WS also. An interesting history in note. Photos well done.
Have a nice day.
Aleksander

Ah!
Molto interessante e ben catturato.

Buona giornata,
Donato

Bonjour Joel,
very interesting presentation. I like also the other photos in the workshop. Especially the one with the window.
This view here is probably the best POV to present the castle itself. The tower seems so unique and together with the rest of the structure it creates a nice diagonal across the frame. Very pleasant vegetation around the castle. Good side light.
Have a great weekend,
M

Hi Joel
I like your composition of this beautiful historic caslte nestled amongst the greenery and it looks so secluded. Beautiful shot with great details, texture, the rustic old aged look well rendered. Great sharpness but the sight light is so attractive and good balanced to the sky area. Lovely colors and the contrast is great. A very pleasing image wworth the effort. Congrats.
Best regards

salut Joel,

Hello Joel,

You're capturing well this castle surrounding green nature by a good composition and excellent tone, so it's impressive and interesting to see the castle of the Middle Ages. It's impressive that the structure consists of the tops below for a stage and strong stone construction.

Regards,
mikio

Hello Joël,

Great view of the castle, the structure is almost a ruin. But the spirit of the castle is still well alive. What a pleasure to find this castle among the thick green foliage. It seems to tell its own stories. Warmness of the sunlight gives a very captivating overall tone. well conceived POV is giving us a great view over this monument, truly fascinating photo. Thank you for introducing us to this great edifice.

With my best wishes, Joël
Have great week,
Nobu.
