The castle of Pouzauges of the 12th century, belonged to GILLE de RAIS or Retz, which never lived there, by its marriage with Catherine de Thouars.

Hi Joel,
you have placed the ruins of the castle i a good position in the frame,as outlined perfect on the blue and puffy sky.I like the brilliant of the light as the clarity of the image.Well done.

Have a nice day,Danos

This is a nicely composed shot with the addition of the bench in he foreground. The bench adds a feel of welcome to the scene. The angle of the shot is fine showing more than one side of the tower creating depth for the scene. The sky is great and you have captured it nicely. I think that I like your second WS shot even more than this one, maybe it should be a main post as well!

Bonjour Joel.

It is a very impressive keep that you have captured here, even though it now lies in ruins. The slightly upwards point of view emphasises the way it dominates the surrounding area. It stands out very well against the lovely summer sky; the flag adds a pleasing splash of colour. Light, colours and clarity are all very good. I wish you a good weekend.

Bonjour Joel

This old walls look very interesting.
Good picture with nice colors and clarity.
Best regards.Alin.

Hi Joël,
There is indeed enough parts left of this castle to convince us how impressive this must once have been. A very good capture and the usual very interesting note too!
Kind regards

Bonsoir Joel, This is a very large structure with indications that it is no more, except as a ruins. It must have been something in its day. It still appears well maintained and it look like there is something interesting to the far upper left in this photo. Certainly a beautiful cloud with perhaps a building in this location. Fine job of taking this shot. As alwayss , I find your notes interesting and informative. Regards. Roger

Dobro jutro.
Vrlo interesantna istorija starog dvorca ...
Mnogo dobra tekst o istoriji zamka.
Dobar trenutak snimka i prikaz kule dvorca, lepe boje i fotografija, moje cestitke.
Prijatan dan i vikend sa lepim vremenom.
Sve najbolje.
Pozdrav Paja.
