same castle as my previous post,
a bit closer & a different angle

Sippenaken is a tiny countryside village of just a couple of hundred inhabitants. It used to belong to the Duchy of Limburg, but these days it lies in the north of the province of Liège.

The castle of Beusdael is the most notable building in this part of the valley. The oldest part of the keep dates from the 14th century.

For the castle fans, my next shot will be a really close one

This picture shows the castle of Beusdael half hidden in the greenery surrounding it.
There are two old donkeys in the meadow in front of it. Can you spot both of them?

hello Benny

Hello Benny,
In this place, that day, you had the ultimate conditions for photography. Fantastic light and colours, a beautiful scenery, a fine castle and a selection of nice horses and farming equipment. Obviously you could walk in any direction and always find a great new angle. This one is no exception.
Best regards,

Dag Benny,

Bedankt.

Groeten uit Oost Vlaanderen,

Bonjour Benny,

I like the carpet of yellow flowers in the green fg field and the solitary grazing cow. The 2 towers of the bg castle make a great focal point and their reddish brown color contrasts well with the blue sky. Tfs!

Hello Benny ,
This is here , too , a perfect composition . The lonely cow in the yellow pasture provides an interesting balance , even tiny , to the beautiful castle .

Hi Benny,
very picturesque spot. You had an amazing light there with the resulting colors so pleasantly vivid! Great composition with the well placed castle towers and the sheep adding some balance on the other side of the frame.
So natural, so beautiful!!

Hello Benny,

This could easily be a scene from the U.K. if there were no buildings in evidence but, once we see the castle, that is such a different style from anything I would see at home!
It actually reminds me of a style that I saw in Germany.
Whatever, the bucolic scene is sharp and colourful, the focal buildings strongly placed in the frame.

My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Fantastic light, a pretty pastoral scene and a castle what more can you want to make a decent photo. Nice Benny

Hello Ben,

I can see one donkey quite clearly. Is the second one under the tree on the left? Lovely view of the castle tower.
I hope that you will like my pictures from China. I visited so many places and now the hard task to choose something. You have only two pictures from Yunnan and so many yellow colour in the map. Yunnan is marvelous, my favorite. But maybe the most beautiful places I visited this time was Fenghuang and Zhangjiajie.

Kind regrads MAlgo

Hi Benny,
Very nice to see this castle from closer angle. It still doesn't dominate the view but makes nice part of this green landscape. Lovely weather and fresh green meadow dotted by yellow flowers.

Hallo Benny,

Hi Benny
That's awesome looking castle in seclusion unfolding before your eye. The brill weather gave the opportunity as the sun brought out the amazing colour and lots of green. Lovely framing too this must have been a real treat in person. Just delightful work, and thanks to your useful note, Congrats
Best regards
