[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I dedicate this image to Gert, our master people photographer on TE.

This is a sequel to my previous upload, just a few more shots from this remote village in Kathmandu Valley where I had an honour to spend a few days walking from place to place and meeting families impoverished by the 2015 earthquake.

I’d like to introduce another member of Timilsina family – Ramesh’ father. When we arrived, we found him busy, separating maize grain from the cobs.

I’ve mentione him before: once in the note to this image (where I talk about the holy spot on the wall) and also as part of this story (it was him who gave up his bed so I could sleep in relative comfort).

Two more shots in WS.

Hello Kasia,
Another nice surprise. Thank you so much for the kind dedication, although I don't agree with your description of me. Three lovely photos that all could have been main uploads. I like the eye-contact with the man, the pile of corn-knobs, the fine light and the strong diagonal of the composition. The WS of the woman outside her house is a quiet reminder of the disaster of the earthquake that made so many buildings unsafe, even though they didn't all collapse.
Of course I must add this to my favourites.
Kind regards,
Gert

Hello Kasia,
Three great pictures and interesting notes on the harsh life of the Nepali, especially after the cruel earthquake that has destroyed so much.
It is really fantastic that you have been welcomed so kindly by these poor people.
It's the first time that I see cow dung drying on a wall ...
Best regards, Paul

Czesc Kasiu
Swietna seria portretow. Zazdrosze wynajdywania takich sytuacji w ulicznej codziennosci i mam swiadomosc ile wymaga to wysilku. Pokazanie kraju, miejsc przez pokazanie zyjacych tam ludzi to zadanie nielatwe ale efekt w Twoim wypadku znakomity!
pozdrawiam
Piotr

Hi Kasia
That's quite a visual splash and interesting slice of daily life as people go about the day. On the one hand, you get to admire the beautiful display of the golden corns and on the other hand his intense concentration really lends superb sense of focus to the composition. Simple delight, good observation and timely shot, Congrats.
Warm regards

Pozdrawiam serdecznie

Małgorzata

Hi Kasia,
Good angle to take the view of this man at work, good effect with the FG, nice light, interesting attitude of this man, tfs.

Hello Kasi,

Three very informative photographs, very clearly matching the objectives of this site.

This vertical photograph is a fine example of how to compose a photograph to get the best visual impression. You guide us irresistible from the spent cobs, to the piles of corn and then to the bare-footed worker. It is such a strong photograph.

My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Hello Kasia,

A very nice tribute to our friend Gert, he is a good photographer, and excellent journalist.

The man has a nice handwork, separating maize grain from the cobs.
Colours and sharpness are perfect to look at.
An excellent composition, lovely presentation too.
Very well done, TFS.

Have a nice day,
John.

Hi Kasia
wow, another trio of great shots of these amazing people.
I really do need to travel here.

that Cow dung shot should be a main post for sure :) :)

his task here looks rather tedious but he's getting it done.
I like seeing what he's using for a seat too, lots to see in this small shot. you seem to have a knack with these locals, you have a rapport with them.

cheers
Craig

Bonjour, Kasia,
Philippe
