Dong Van under the dull sky of North Vietnam

When I was in Dong Van the weather didn’t help much to take beautiful pictures of the fantastic landscapes.
So often it was hazy and the skies were real dull.

However I had informed in advance about the climate before I left for North Vietnam. Different information sources said that the end of March and the first half of April would be a good time to visit that part of the country. But that wasn’t my experience.
Of course it could have been worse. It wasn’t too cold or too rainy.
As I wrote earlier November would be the ideal month.

Hereby three more pictures of the landscapes in and around Dong Van located near the Chinese border.

Hello Paul,
I think I told you that I was in Hanoi in April and November and the weather was constantly dull both times. But as long as the valleys are not filled with thick fog nothing can really hide the immense natural beauty of this area. In fact the weather seems to be fairly nice in these photos. The light seems quite warm and the reflections in the pond could hardly have been better. I find all three photos very attractive.
Kind regards,
Gert

Hallo Paul,

Philippe

Hi Paul,
That is a very beautiful area, quite spectacular and picturesque. It surely deserves a visit. Well taken.
Have a nice weekend.

Hello Paul,
marvelous sight from the fields in the FG, village houses and the far side with the unique earth formation upon those mountains.
DOF and the clear sight wonderfully rendered.

Dag Paul,

Drie mooie foto's Paul. Bedankt.

Groeten uit Oost Vlaanderen,
John

Bonjour Paul

Amicalement

Serge

An interesting image, with good clarity, light, color and quality. Excellent and beautiful work perfectly done, my congratulations, my friend. Thank you for sharing this interesting work.

Good night and happy weekend.
All the best from the south of Spain.

Ciao Paul
Buon we

Hello Paul,

A wonderful reflection of the rocky karst peaks in the fg rice paddy. I like the high pov and excellent sharpness. The dull weather has compensated you with a soft diffused light and no harsh shadows. Tfs!

Hello again,

The landscape similar to China, fantastic view even when the weather was not specially good. Beautiful pictures.

Here in Corfu, like in Sarande, I hear mainly Polish language. It is not that I like going abroad, haha.

Best regrads MAlgo

Hi Paul,
wow this is a very impressive landscape. I like very much the extraordinary shape of the mountains. You have also managed to include their reflection in the water which made the foreground so very interesting.
Very interesting place, I love it.
Have a great weekend,
M
