|Off Vinh Long, Mekong Delta.|
Reclining at the edge of round basket boat under the mid-day sun, drifting away into the green wide mekong, wondering what would be the perfect dream if one day, i were to close my eyes and see that one thing that would take me back to the time and place, dwell in utter tranquility, even for a brief moment.
What would he be without the river and the boat..?
The mekong holds a special place in my heart and i chose to make this image in Its most intimate and simplest form.
llford delta 400 simulation..but alas....how i wish..

I imagine some people would find this a little dark but I like the darkness, it sets a very distinct mood that makes me want to see more of the scene. Very nice black and white conversion.
Nice photo well composed with this man and with an interesting effect in b&w version and the noisy result, nice contrast, tfs.

A powerfull B&W post with the conic hat and the edge of the boat bursting out of a grey dotted sky and the black man's silhouette
Il y a beaucoup de grain dans le ciel de cette composition en noir et blanc mais on passe facilement par dessus car l'ensemble est remarquable.
I like your technique - the high contrast, overland low key feel and the grain visible in the sky. Looks like a very old image, even though taken a few days ago.

Long time! I hope you are well. I popped into TE, and saw this...the Ilford effect fits well, the contrasts, the harsh whites and deep blacks. Paddling somewhere, to a grainy horizon, looks like a good direction to paddle in..
I have travel plans to Nepal and maybe Kolkata later this year.
