Mysore Palace at night

I say goodbye to Mysore with three last pictures of the Mysore Palace, the former seat of the Wodeyar maharajas and one of the grandest of India’s royal buildings.
The photos were taken without tripod.

This palace has functioned several times as background on my previous photos of the flower and plant festival. Possibly, you may be tired of seeing it …

It was not only the architectural beauty of the palace that impressed me but also the whole atmosphere around with the many Indian visitors.

In Mysore I took the train (2 hours) to Bangalore (today Bengaluru) where I stayed one night but did not really have time to visit the city. From there a morning flight brought me back to Mumbai.
Bangalore had an incredible busy traffic. The city seemed even more modern than Mumbai but lacked its attraction. Just my personal idea.

Bonjour, cher Paul,

Ciao Paul, great view of fantastic palace, excellent exposure, fine details, wonderful colors and splendid light, very well done, my friend, ciao Silvio

Hello Paul, an Impressive picture of the Mysore Palace at night as the goodbye to this fascinating town. I like also the picture from Workshop, with the red domes. Is it also goodbye to India? You had no tripod but the sharpness is excellent. You have a steady hand :).
It tempts me to show some photos from India, but I will resist this feeling. I still have so many from New Zealand.
Have a nice week

Ciao Paul
un'altra bella immagine notturna, ottima esposizione, colpisce l'attenzione immediatamente.

Witaj Paul!
Beautiful place by night.
Excellent frame and composition.
I like colors and light.
Well done.
Nice day.

Good Morning Paul,

What fantastic sights you witnessed in India.
The only time I have seen images, in the least like this, was at Blackpool illuminations. Though nowhere near so vast, the twinkling lights against the night sky must have had a similar effect.
Your composition and sharp details are excellent.
I like the w/s too, showing the palace at different angles or times.
Don't worry about showing features many times; who could become bored with such interesting sights!

Have a lovely day,
Bev :-)

Salut Paul,

A spectacular nocturnal shot of the Mysore Palace illuminated in all its finery. Good sharpness and well framed and composed. Tfs!

Hello Paul,
A beautiful photo, well presented with a nice frame. It's an impressively sharp hand held photo, but something tells me you didn't hold the camera so steadily for 30 seconds, as the stupid "Photo information" suggests. ;-)
You didn't miss anything by not seeing Bangalore more closely. It's probably the most modern city in India, but it lacks atmosphere. I have been there three times and never got to know it. And I never felt an urge to know it.
Best regards,

Good morning Paul,
A stunning who;e view of the illuminated palace.
As said before, an impressive edifice both on day-time picture and amazing at night's.
My cong.s for this masterfully taken photo.

Bonjour Paul,

Il est tellement beau ce Palace photographier de nuit que je suis un petit peu jaloux de la chance que tu as eu. La technique est irréprochable ainsi que l'illumination du bâtiment.

Hello dear friend and have a nice time

one shot is one thousand words

Dag Paul,

Het is heel moeilijk om de mooiste uit te kiezen, want ze zijn alle drie de hoofd foto waard.
Hoe ze het kunnen verlichten is fantastisch.
Dit is wel een van uw bekroonde werken qua kleur en samenstelling.
Schitterend foto werk gemaakt, bedankt.

Hi Paul,
Wow, that's quite overwhelming illumination. Truely wonderful. And it is good that lights have this warm yellow tone. I like the yellow line on your framing. I just wish there were some light in the sky too.

Hello Paul,
Very nice nocturnal capture from Mysore.
Perfect pov and sharpness. Very good light management. Nice framing and many interesting and usefull notes.
TFS and best regards

The illumination of the palace is amazing, excellent night photo with perfect management, my compliments

ciao Paul,
Magnific, it's the only word I'm thinking,
very good shot.
ciao, Giacomo

Hi Paul,
although I am big fan of night photography I think I like the daylight workshop among these three photos the best. May be because it has the natural color and since I don't know this structure enough I can better imaging how it looks like. Great reportage altogether.
Very impressive structure indeed, I must remember it when planning my future imaginary trip to India :)
The richness of the decoration clearly gets most pronounced at night.
I see you have celebrated the New Year's Eve in this place. It is a good idea I suppose to use the holiday time for travel, I have to think about it in the future.
Great work!!

belles versions en WS
Bonne journée

Hello, Paul!

Wonderful night shot, with a very well managed light enhancing the beauty of the palace! The details are perfectly sharp, and the result is a fantastic photo! Very nice job!

Hello Paul.
Sensational night image, that you have captured with a splendid POV, that allows us to see the whole of this immense palace, that looks like a jewel in the black night.
Sharpness, lighting, color and magnificent composition; all are perfectly realized factors, in this beautiful image.
Well done. I like it.
Have a nice day. Greetings.

Hello again,

What a nicely illuminated building! It would be interesting to see the electricity bill.

Best Wishes,

Bonjour Paul Le palais qui me semble émergé du sol sur une plaque levante constitue une pièce d'architecture féérique savamment captée avec les subtilités de la nuit en avant-plan.
