Mumbai - Inside the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel

Because I did not stay in this hotel, Beverley thought I wouldn’t be able to show you pictures of the interior.
It is possible to visit the hotel although I haven’t been able to enter rooms of course.
So Beverley, here three photos taken inside the hotel.

Your daypack (and all the luggage of those who stay there) will be screened at the entrance (a safety measure taken after the terrorist attacks that took place in November 2008).

From Wikipedia:
The 2008 Mumbai attacks were a group of terrorist attacks that took place in November 2008, when 10 members of Lashkar-e-Taiba, an islamic terrorist organisation based in Pakistan, carried out a series of 12 coordinated shooting and bombing attacks lasting four days across Mumbai.
The attacks, which drew widespread global condemnation, began on Wednesday, 26 November and lasted until Saturday, 29 November 2008, killing 164 people and wounding at least 308.

Hello Paul,
great the view as the presentation of the interior of the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel with the reddish carpet on the staircases to make it even more attractive. The superb light and colour management enhance even more the beauty as the decoration of this part of the hotel.

Ciao Paul
molto scenografica la serie di scale che ci mostri, bella anche la tua foto, che unisce geometri e colori in una composizione piacevole da osservare.

Hi Paul
you could have easily uploaded the WS 2 photo as a main shot, thats a cool one indeed. love the visual of that one, its makes an excellent impact.

this main one is sweet too, reminds me of some paintings.
the twisting and turning of the staircases meandering up and down is very photogenic. well done my friend, keep these coming. cheers

Hello Paul,
Interesting composition from Taj Mahal Palace Hotel.
A good point of view, excellent perspective and depth.
Good work, fine presentation.

Well done on the capture od the many floors in the image. The colors and angle of the shot make for a great image. I like the feel of comfort. Makes me want to stay there.

Bonjour, cher Paul,

Hello Paul, Thank you for posting these picture. I had no idea how this hotel can look inside. Excellent view from above on this staircase and the people around. As to Workshops, I have never been in any prison, but I have seen some pictures and they looked similar :).

Kind regrad s MAlgo

Witaj Paul!
Interesting interior, staircase makes impression.
Excellent POV and composition.
I like light and colors.
Well done.
Nice day.

Hello Paul,
Maybe I got a bit further than just the lobby, but not beyond the nearest bar or tea-room, certainly not upstairs. This is a marvellous view, a lot more elegant even than the expensive Indian hotels where I have occasionally stayed at my company's expenses. The carpets and tiles create fine patterns and the people seen here and there make me think of looking into a dollhouse with no roof. The WS #2 doesn't look at all like a prison, much rather like a museum in a converted factory or railway station. ;-)
Kind regards,

Hallo Paul,

Mooi foto werk, bedankt.

Mooi werk. Groet Rob

Hello Paul,
Great POV! Looking down there is a lot to see. The stairs are beautiful, and I also like the marble floors and the elegant sofas. It's a shame that terrorism also touched this historic place...

Hello Paul,

A splendid downward pov with terrific internal decor. Good sharpness and the 2 layers of stairs at right add interest. Tfs!

Hello Paul.
Magnificent images, both this and the two WS, with views of the interior of the hotel, a nice contrast between the luxury of its interior that has not lost the flavor of its architecture and decoration of more than a century of existence.
Magnificent color, which gives great strength to the image.
Very good brightness and perfect sharpness.
Well done. I like very much.
You have a good day.
Very best regards.

Hello dear Paul,
A quite unusual Taj Mahal :-) On thumbnail I couldn't notice that it's just the inside of the Hotel !
Anyhow, wonderfull capture, a joy for the eyes of the viewers.
Many interesting and usefull notes makes it a perfect TE job.
TFS and best regards

Hello Paul, very good view of this beautiful and luxurious staircase, very well captured in this good and beautiful picture. An interesting image, with good sharpness, depth, light, color and quality. Very good and beautiful work perfectly done, my congratulations my friend. Thanks for sharing this interesting work.

Good night and happy weekend.
All the best from the south of Spain.

Hello Paul,

this is another interesting image of the interior of this building, the photo in the WS is also excellent, giving us a perfect idea of the beauty of this hotel, well done,

Best regards,

Hi Paul, this shot is a well considered composition that makes the most of the lovely staircase.
There is a wealth of pattern, it must feel quite overwhelming to be stood amongst it.
A lovely trio of shots.
Thanks for sharing,
regards Jean.
