Brightly orange colored flower marigold is a wonderful flower. Calendula marigold is used as herbals. It has lot of benefits. It is yellow-orange in color and is used since the 11th century. Calendula marigolds are used for decorative, commercial purposes and also used for sacred spaces. It is also used as less expensive coloring agent in digestive tea and soups.
It has come from the word "Mary's Gold'', a similar European flower.
Butterflies use marigolds as nectar source.

These are great plants and flowers for cheering up the garden. There are french marigolds, African marigolds and pot marigolds. Marigolds can be propagated by seeds. The plant needs 45 days to grow flower. Marigolds bring beautiful sunlight in the garden, and these flowers are visually very appealing.

Many songs and lyrics have used Marigold and here is a Ryan Adam beauty that uses Marigold in the lyrics:

The sky it splits in two
I kiss her on her teeth
I kiss her on her teeth...
What's the use in 'marigolds'
These flowers are for you.. ''
